I just had a quick question about using the lrp sxx competition spec v1 for stock racing. I was told that there is no blinky mode. If you set the esc to no boost is it the same as blinky? I wanted to run this esc since it fits better in my b5 than my gtb2. Does anyone know if the v1 is legal for stock racing?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the high discharge high charge factor. Putting heat into the battery is also a big difference in power for stock racing.

Was mentioned on the first page. It depends on where you race, ROAR events are a max 1c charge rate. Some tracks check battery temp and it can only be a couple degrees over ambient. Some dont want to spend the money on batteries every few months. It doesnt help if you cant keep the car wheels down for 5 minutes though.

If the killshot is faster is just in your application. You have a better timing/gearing combo... Its a proven fact that the illegal D3.5 is the fastest 17.5 motor out there. In carpet pan car racing where motor is HUGE the kill shot is easily 3 laps down.
