I am planning on installing it into an Axial Wraith. I want to do some crawling and trail running with it. I won't be intensionally submerging it but there are creeks and puddles that will be obstacles. So I don't necessarily need the fastest speed, but high torque would be nice. I think the 6601 would cover my needs in both departments, but more is better right? The consensus seems to be that anything over 300oz is fine in the Wraith.

yeah I was going to use it in a Kyosho Mad Force that I have for sale now and was thinking the same. was to run through snow, etc and i liked its high voltage option. Was between this and the Airtronics 94671 and figured save some money and give it a shot, plus was supported by Nick which has been a pleasure so figured give it a go.

For the Wraith, which is not a speed machine if my intel is correct, the WR-7701 will be perfect. It will have massive torque, if provided with enough power. A small tip would be to get a Castle Creations 10A BEC and programming kit for the BEC to ensure the servo will have a nice steady 8.4V supply.
you won't be sorry.
That's what I have done to ensure my WR-6601 get's a steady 8.4V supply in my Durango DEX408 buggy. Not as fast as the WR-4401 but more powerful.
I have the WR-4401 in my Hong Nor Nexx8 buggy, which i'm getting ready for some fun. A CC 10A BEC will be installed in that as well. Ensurering a steady 6.6V power stream, so I will get maximum steering torque.

I made a short video of my WR-6601 servo if those of you who don't own one would like to see one being fired up.
After countless attempts of making the youtube thingy working to no avail I'll just post the link.

I received a NIB servo in return, but I didn't feel comfortable using it so I sold it to recoup some of my losses due to having to replace an out of warranty ESC it apparently killed in addition to several replacements it killed as well. I can't imagine what would have happened cost wise if I had tried hooking up to other ESCs I had here that are out of warranty to but work fine.
I do believe i probably had a one off issue however, but what I wanted to use the servo for (winter snow running in a monster truck) had the time to use it pass. So I sold it to someone else who could use get more use out of it.
Maybe down the road I'll give it a look again as some of the other servos have specs I like, but I will make sure I only do that with an esc still under warranty.

That "Someone Else" was me. I have had Hitec's, Futaba's, Savox and Jr's in my Heli's and Planes with zero issues even after Lawn Darting them. I'm not a racer but I have had Hitec and Savox in my SCX10, Wraith, Yeti, Rival and Losi 8T with zero issues. I built my Yeti XL and wanted to try a new servo and found Cain's Xpert WR7701 for sale. Fit the bill so why not give it a go. I have it only running 7.4v through a CC BEC and this servo throws these giant tires around with some serious authority and speed. I can't wait to bump up the voltage to 8.4v. I'm looking to get an MT4G3 and will put in an Xpert WR7701 without hesitation.

On 8.4V you will have torque in your WR-7701 to tip over a tank hehe.
