Hi Randy, when I use the hotwire 3.0 bluetooth on multiple RX8 ESC's do I have to bind each ESC to the phone app? Just wondering, haven'd done the second one yet. Thanks Randy hope all is well.

Hi All, I'm having trouble setting the current limit.

It's a gen1 rs pro. When I set it to anything from 1 to 9 and save settings when I reload current settings it shows it as off. All the other settings save ok.

It has firmware 223 and I'm using the current hotwire windows software from the Tekin website.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think you need to update your software. If I remember correctly the latest software is #228.

No, the HW3 is all that is "bound" to the app/phone.

Check your Hotwire software version:

NO ESC hooked up, launch the pc app, hit the "help" button and list the version here.

for the lack of a better place to post this..

tekin RS gen 1... hotwire 2... tekin 17.5 redline gen 1..
radio is Futaba 3PK, with spectrum module... and lipo battery pack
I went from 1/10 carpet pan car to SC5M dirt truck
running a new LIPO 4,000ma battery pack 2 cell.
new futaba S3305 steering servo

issue.... setting is brushless with forward /brake/ delay reverse........
delay into reverse.... what are the rules?
maybe One out of Five it will reverse.

as many times I can not get reverse to go/move truck...

I have latest computer software.. hotwire2 *non bluetooth* is 1 week old and has download 223...

With Forward/Brake/Delay Reverse, the esc is looking for the trigger to be at neutral for about 2 seconds before you can use reverse. If you keep pumping the brakes on the radio, it won't go into reverse.

Hi Randy, it's 12.40.3

I tried downgrading to 212 but it was the same. I'm back on 223 now.

Thanks

By default the delay time is set to 1 second, which can feel like forever lol. Also make sure your NW is set to at least 10. If it's too low and you're the driver that "pre loads" the trigger just a tick, it can prevent the esc from seeing neutral for a long enough time. Each time you "try" the 1 second timer resets.

Ok, that is the latest Hotwire version, so leave it. Is this a Gen1 RS?

Yes Gen1.

For some context. I've not used the feature before but I've just started racing 2wd off road. Would love to turn down power for damp conditions.

The Gen1 RS will stop at 223 software wise. Power can be turned down a few ways; current limiter, epa's, etc.
