Thats awesome! I hope this comes to market. Just in time for the new DX6r radio too- as soon as I get that radio I will have two ways of tuning the ESC. :)

Tekin - awesome job on the Android app. I've been making good use of the data logging at the track on my phone.

So is anyone using the app successfully on marshmallow? Going to get the galaxy s7 this weekend, tia

I'm using it on Android 6.. No issues

Yup working fine on the latest 6.01 update on my S6 Edge.

I'm on a Galaxy S6 running 6.0.1 and I can't connect anymore. My buddie's Note 5 connects with no problem so i know it isn't the Hotwire. I just keep an old tablet in my bag in case I need to use the hotwire at the track.
|
i have seen it addressed but not really answered anywhere. can anyone confirm if it does or does not work on the new kindle fire hd's? my 6" fire would be perfect for at the track. if not, what basic tablet or old phone would yall recommend using on the cheap? id like to change out some parameters on the fly on my new rx8 gen 2 setup....

It won't work on Kindle's . They have their own version of an "android Os" so to speak.
There are plenty of them listed here: http://www.teamtekin.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=170 There are of course many more that it works on. |
Ok, I'm at a loss. I can't get either of my rx8 gen2 esc's working with the hotwire android app version 6.11.0 and previous version using a hotwire 2.0 interface. Note: this works perfectly on a PC
These are the devices I've tried and the results: Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro Running v5.1.1 Used both OTG and regular USB cable The app starts then I get locked up black screen Samsung galaxy tab 4 Used both OTG and regular USB cable The app does not start after plugging cable into tablet. I connect a battery to the esc and turn it on. The interface powers on but has solid green LED instead of flashing I get the same above results on a Droid Razr running v4.1.2 |

The interface powers on but has solid green LED instead of flashing I get the same above results on a Droid Razr running v4.1.2 I know for fact that some of the Samsung tablets for example do not support OTG and for whatever reason it's by the size of the screen. Don't ask me why, but most of the time the largest tablets work, and some of the smaller ones do not. Odd I know. My experience for example on Tab 3, the 7" works, the 8" does not, and the 11" did. Just an example. The Droid phone lineup often doesn't offer power at the cable of the device so you may need to power on the car once you're plugged in. To test this plug in the Hotwire to the OTG and see if the HW's green LED lights up. |
I think the device I have the best chance of working with this is my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2'' When I plug a flash drive into the OTG cable it brings the drive and it's contents right up.
My Droid Razr is on Tekins list as a known working device. When I plug the hot wire into that I have to plug the LiPo into the ESC and switch it on for the interface to get power. When I do this, I don't get the fast flashing green LED, I just get a solid green LED and it does nothing on the Razr. I'm thinking I might have gotten a bad v2 interface... I have 2 RX8's I've tried this on with the 250 firmware and the newer beta firmware. |
