I also dropped the drop down, and race left handed. Felt like my hands were to far apart.

I tried to bind a 2000 rx with an RS Pro, and no go. It does just fine with a 410, but not the 2000. I wanted the faster response, oh well.

An Sr2000 will only bind if you first set the frame rate to on the radio to 5.5ms. It took me a while to work out! I hope that helps...

Was wondering if anyone has installed a lipo in there radio. If so what one fit and if there was anything you had to modify to make it work.

sakadachi 11-20-2015 10:51 AM

I recommend you use LiFe chemistry instead, if not NiMH. Lipo does not like to be in the charged state for too long and could potentially catch fire without warning.

I just picked up a DX4R and it came with a couple of black discs. What are they for?

Nevermind: I did a search and apparently they are corner markers.

SR 2000 used in 1:8 scale car?

Hallo,

Is anybody using the SR2000 receiver in 1:8 scale cars, like xray XB 8 or Mugen MRX 5?

The Spektrum support told me that the SR 2000 is more suite for 1:12 racing and would have limitation regarding range and reliability. As this not mentioned in then manual or on the Spektrum Web page, I would like to hear some practical feedback.

Thanks,
Kapa

I am using the SR2000 outside in both my TLR 1/8 EP and nitro without any issues for about a year.

I've used them in my 1/8 E-buggy and E-truggy for over a year with no issues. I also run it in my 4x4 SCT with no issues.

Received my DX4R Pro today and its exactly what I wanted. I had a DX3R Pro but sold it off cuz times were tight and I've regretted it ever since. The DX4R is a nice step up, very adjustable and introducing AVC.

I have a SR300 and a SR3100 with a couple SR3100 clones and a SRS4210 on the way, I just need a couple more and all 9 trucks in my fleet will be controlled with the DX4R. Gonna sell my 2 TQi set ups (RX + TX) and Futaba 3pl + 2 RX to recoupe some of the cost.

Full system on my main Savage XR will be

DX4R - Dynamite LiPo - SRS4210 - Black Edition SC-1267SG & SC-1268SG - Racers Edge Glitch Buster

Should be strong enough to turn the truck and power for AVC to do its thing.

SR2000 is known to have issues when batteries get low. The high resolution puts a high demand for juice and the bigger the RC the bigger the servos and so demand on the batteries from the Servos and RX is increased. Running a smaller RC reduces the overall demand on the batteries so its not pushing the SR2000 too hard it glitches, while some truck glitch a lot with it and it gets worse as batery voltage drops.

They should say its more suited to 1/12 but its new so they might not of forseen issues with people running RC with electronics running the batt on the limits of its abilities. We now know to run it on a small RC or keep it suplied with enough power.

This may have been covered, but I can't seem to find it.

Just purchased my 4R Pro to upgrade from my 3C.

It will only bind with the 2 receivers that came with it. I cannot get it to bind with any of my 8 SR301 receivers.

I know the bind process is simple and straight forward but I'm having no luck. When the bind process is initiated, the receivers blink and then just go dark. The transmitter beeps and I try again.

I have no clue what's going on.

Any advice?

Should work with DSM/DMS2 and DMSR.
Call Horizon/Support.

According to Horizon, it's only compatible with DSM2 and DSMR. Not DSM.

If this is the case, it's a great way to pad their pockets by making people buy all new receivers.

I've used DSM1's plenty of times with mine. That being said, I got a new DX4R (4100W) this year summer and haven't tried it with any of my old receivers (have a couple of old DSM1's I use for VRC etc.). I'll test em over the holidays.

I use the NIZN batteries and have no problems. When new, they show 7.1 volts on the screen. I got them(4 ea.) off ebay with charger just over $20. Later on I bought 4 more for back up. There are two models, I do not recommend the loud orange one.
