I've used DSM1's plenty of times with mine. That being said, I got a new DX4R (4100W) this year summer and haven't tried it with any of my old receivers (have a couple of old DSM1's I use for VRC etc.). I'll test em over the holidays.

So my wife got me the Atomic case for my DX4R after seeing that it fits the DX4S and thinking this would work. The case isn't wide enough.
So what other cases, not the spektrum hard case, are out there that fit? |

I have this and it fits perfect. There is a cutout in this case that you just pull out and your radio slides in

Why not the Spektrum one??

I just picked up the Spektrum case and I'm less than impressed. After one day of use, the finish is already scratched and I see a few dents.
Has anyone had any problems with the SR2000 losing power? Tonight, I had the receiver shut down numerous times. The ESC is still on but the orange light on the receiver is off, etc. When I power down the ESC and turn it on again, the ESC starts working. New cable cable between the ESC and RX didn't help either. Any ideas? |

But really tho SR2000 on bigger than 1/12 IMO is a lil risky. |

SR2000 is really for 1/12 and smaller RC. It sucks juice hard core and when power hungry servos pull juice they conflict.

It's in a 1/10 buggy. I hadn't had any issues the last few practice days. The problems just started tonight.
Might of been lower charge on the battery tonight vs when you were practicing? Usually connection issues occure after 20 to 30min the RC being on while fine at first with full batteries. See if it occurs only with lower voltage on the batteries vs a freshly charged battery Do you have a different RX so next time it occurs swap and see if its the RX and nothing else. |

Nope. No transponder. I tried another, freshly charged pack so that wasn't it. I will try rebinding though. I'll try some fresh batteries in the DX4R too.

The ABS hits then throbbs. Not sure if good for Racing. I thought y'all set up ever so slightly drag brakes, no ABS or TC. |
I had the RX shutting down issue as well. Installed in a Tamiya mini. It'd shut down if I clipped th boards. I Imagine the servo must draw a huge spike when that happens. Added a glitch buster. See how it goes on Sunday.
Another weird thing with the SR2000 is I can't get it to stay at a 5.5ms frame rate. Each time I turn the radio off, then on again, it's back at 11ms. I'm using a digital servo and rebid when switching rates. Any ideas? UPDATE: I tried a different receiver just now, an SR3250, capable of 5.5ms frame rate, just like the SR2000. Here's what happens. Turn on radio, then car. go into "settings -> frame rate" select 5.5ms follow instructions to rebind after changing frame rate. on the "settings -> bind" screen, at the bottom 11ms is displayed for the SR2000, 16.5ms is displayed for the SR3250. I go ahead with the bind procedure, as instructed Once complete, I turn off the car, then the radio, remove the bind plug from the receiver. When the radio is restarted, followed by the car, in both cases "settings-> frame rate" displays 11ms again. Very odd. Maybe I'll try not rebinding? |
