I saw that today and couldn't believe it. I'm assuming they think club members will use the club perks an still think they got a deal. I'm a club member but its not worth it. I back ordered one today through amain.

When the RX8 Gen2 combos were first available on Tower they were $389 while the Gen1 combos were only $339. Now that all the Gen1 combos are sold out on Tower, the Gen2 combos are $339 (which is $289 with club discount). |
199 on stormer hobbies

If I were to for some reason re-purpose that motor into a 1:10 Wheeler would this ESC be happy about that or not happy about that? Because every now and then you just have to drive it at maniac speeds.

tower has adjusted their price to match amain.

any word on the App? :)

Stormer > amain

Comparing specs to the RS gen 2, Im not seeing much difference only in the ability to run lower turn motors with the RSX and the obvious heat sink body. I run the sc10 and usually only run a 9.5 at my track, but may throw in an 8.5 every once in a while, so should I go with the RS gen 2 or the RSX?

Is anyone running the RSX in mod at IIC?
|
Anyone from Tekin have an ETA on this yet?????
|
tower says late October!!!
|
Amain has moved the date up to 10/23. If true.... the RSX is only a week away.
.....and STILL not a single word from Tekin about ETA. Good lookin' out for your loyal customers, Tekin! |
tower has moved back their date to November for the esc only. Systems say late October still. I'm going to wait until tower has it so I can use the member discount.

stormer says 199 where as tower and amain are 229, but if you are a tower member the price is the same as stormer. So, I usually will order some other parts that I need to bump up to the next discount and I save more.

Bummer got a 4x4 buggy I was looking to put a system in for the fall racing season. Had my Gen2 in it with a 13.5 but the other guys were running me over down the long straights.

You can't go off what the sites have listed for an ETA, they are guessing and will keep moving it back until they receive stock. Patience, grasshopper, it is coming. It performed excellent at Worlds and IIC last week. Team Drivers will start seeing them very soon.

You've proven impatient on more than one occasion. We will not give a date until the units are packaged and shipping out, period. Nobody is refusing to hep you.
We're not willing to risk a date based on outside factors that are times, outside of our control. We can however share a date once we are actually shipping units out the door, which let's be honest is the entire point right? We want everyone to enjoy the RSX as fast as we can. |
I think his point is that 1-2 weeks notice is too short. Tekin does not want their feet held to the fire with a firm date. I was surprised when TLR said 4 weeks the buggy will be here and it actually happened. Most companies have issues and miss the estimated ship date.

My frustrations stem from Tekin leaving me without an esc for pong periods... twice now. RS pro stock was depleted long ago. I would gladly buy one today if I could. I love tekin, want to run tekin, but am stuck with a dead car and no racing all because i want to stay with tekin. Is this being viewed as a legitimate problem within the company and what exactly is wrong with saying "We are trying for a _____ date". No product, no help, no eta, no running car.... is becoming routine.
There you go. Have a good day. BTW it took all of 30 seconds to find one in stock on google. The problem with giving a date is if customers don't have that product by that date then they start whining on the internets and claiming they have been lied to or ripped off. Most companies don't even tell you what they are working on. You just find out when it hits the shelf. |

We never failed to tell people the RS Pro would be phased out of the way for the RSX. Show me another esc company on ANY public forum offering me the level of support we do? I've already told you that an ETA will be given as units are leaving out the door, that's your ETA. Nobody is holding you back but yourself. Please knock it off. |

I've ran a 10.5 in one with some boost that was reasonably fast but it still isn't a 6.5. Used RS Pro's are easy enough to find as well as new ones. It'd be a great back up to the RSX once they're out. |

You keep posting this info and it's simply not true. Not only can you still find RS Pro's in stock but I too have sent you links to places that had them, for good prices.

Can't wait for it to be out and all can just laugh at how they acted on this thread. Let's get back to enjoying this great hobby and hanging with friends at the track.

Would you recommend this for a 1/10th 4wd touring car running a 4.5 on a large track?

I have five tekin speedos and three motors, I've only had an issue with one motor and tekin handled it very quickly and professionally. I'm looking forward to getting the Rsx. Thank you tekin for always delivering high level products! The Rsx will be worth the wait :tire:

No one is complaining about Tekin's support (or the needed time and r&d on new product like the RSX).Not sure why you would even go there. You also didn't send me any links. Regardless, I support my LHS.... a Tekin dealer...not some 3rd rate shop in some obscure corner of the internet that someone bragged about finding. A quick google search will show anyone how available the RS Pro is not so let's please not act like I'm the only one "holding myself back". Tekin should be happy to have customers who support them enough by choosing to have a dead car, no racing, and frustration over being forced to switch brands. It's a choice in Tekin's favor but I guess they all should "knock it off". A ROUGH eta or general time frame could help ease the pain and most companies are prepared to address that. ESPECIALLY when making a new product announcement. |
does sometime soon count as an eta?
