Airtronics in the US are currently evaluating wether or not to submit this esc to ROAR for approval, such a great esc needs to be available to everyone & lets face it it's racers who are the most likely buyers. So Please email Airtronics & encourage them to submit it.

Perhaps people who fall under the BRCA could also email LRP UK who are the Sanwa distributors for that region.

I researched motors and most didn't seem to mention whether they had a temp sensor or not. I did find that checking out ESC manuals from the same manufacturer would usually tell you if they supported motor temp protection which was a fairly good indication of their motors having the sensor.

I have tried Hobbywing (V10) and LRP (X20) both in 13.5 and they both have the sensor. ..the LRP visually matches the Super Vortex so much it is not funny!

Viper rc motors have a temp sensor too.

How is this to adjust from the esc itself (not from the transmitter)? I read through the manual, but it kinda looks like the led lights are on the bottom? Makes no sense, so I assume I am looking at it wrong.

Hi,

Is it possible to keep ESC setup functions with the M12 without the telemetry function activated.
Telemetry is not authorized in France during races

thanks

This is just for blinky right? There's no roar approvals for modified?

Also anyone know what replacement fans would work on these? What connector type does the fan use?

Hi, (should have posted my question in this thread earlier)

I'm really keen on buying the Sanwa Super Vortex Zero ESC but I'm not sure how good it is. I love the concept of changing settings of the ESC on an MT4S transmitter but what is the performance like? Understand this isn't a very popular ESC even though the company amkes one of the most popular transmitter/radio systems.

Not much info online about this and haven't heard of any top drivers using this on the 1/10 electric TC scene.

I do plan to buy the MT4S & RX472 receiver soon but wondering if the ESC will work with other 2.4GHz radio systems in the mean time (i have a Spektrum DX3S and SR300 at the moment). I read on the company website it is compatible but I'd like to hear drivers who've 'actually' used this ESC.

Look forward to any feedback from around the world.

This esc is compatible with all remote sets except you cant change the setup if you are not using 472 receiver and sanwa related tx

Thanks Choisan.
How do you find the performance of the ESC?
What application do you run it in? 4WD SCT? 1/10 TC? Blinky/Boost?

I had an LRP Flow Works ESC and tried running with another brand of motor (eg. Tekin/Thunder Power/Reedy) but had bad cogging issues. Then many people told me LRP stuff only works well in LRP combos; eg. LRP ESC + LRP x20 motor.... Point is I'm hoping I don't experience that with the Sanwa ESC.

i am having these devices, BLS servo, Super Vortex Zero(set on 17.5T w/Turbo on) and Gyro on my TRG112(F1). In my case, my esc was as fast as my friend's HW3.1. I am happy about it.
it seems to feel better to have the same brand of devices to max out the performance as spec.

Hideeho
From what I have gathered & experienced LRP motors work with any ESC & their ESC will theoretically work with any motor (but I have heard of issues). Viper ESC's & motors have issues if not paired with each other & work sensored only (hope your sensor wire doesn't fall out or break during a main ). Pretty much all other ESC's & motors can be freely combined. You may not get full function from the new ESC's from Tekin & Sanwa because not all motors have a temp sensor. While not a complete list I believe Tekin, LRP, & Viper (all though these have issues with SP, & possibly other, ESC's & are generally not as strong as other brands with the same turns) are the only 1/10 motors that have temp sensors.

I can't for the life of me remember his name, but there is an airtronics sponsored driver that is running a vortex zero in a b44.2. I don't imagine it would be suitable for a 4wd SCT though. Maybe, if the vortex zero does well, they will come out with a vortex 8 that will work for at least 2s-4s & have all the functionality of the zero but in a 4wd SCT or 1/8 buggy/truggy ESC.
