Sounds like the old version of hotwire isn't getting removed properly. Do you have another computer you can try it with?

Follow this guide to manually un-install before downloading if you have windows vista or windows 7:

If that fails, let us know and we will try to figure it out from there.

I'm not familiar with that code, but it looks like you might not have full admin privileges. Here's the best solution Google came up with:

Yes. Found that too. I have corrected it.

One speedo I click one says reading settings (normal...)

The one I am trying to update says "enabled:adjustments" "disabled updates" on the Hotwire pop up?? Never saw this before. Finished the main in 2nd Saturday, was operating fine.

That's new to me, so Randy might need to chime in.

I would suggest trying a hard reset by holding the mode and set buttons down simultaneously for several seconds until the lights indicate a reboot and then trying to update it again.

Thanks. I'll give it a try this afternoon.

Always check your Hotwire software level if you think you're having an issue:

Plug in just your Hotwire to your PC, launch the app with NO ESC's connected. Hit the "help" button, the version should be 11.34.4.

Is it?

Can anyone tell me if the gen2 case works with the gen1?

It does not. The internal supports don't line up with the different circuit board components/layout.

Darn, I need a new case for my gen1 and I can't find one anywhere.

It can be done with some modifications.

I however would recommend taking your Gen1 and upgrading to a Gen3. So much stronger and superior features. $123 plus S&H..done.

Randy, I have a Gen2 ESC and I really want the updated solder posts on the Gen3. Can I do the same and send in my Gen2 for a discounted Gen3?
