I use the HK 120 amp in my Losi Scte with a Tekin 4.5 and it is my favorite esc EVER. Esc never gets hot like my old Novak or Castle. Although I did have the fan go out once but almost any 40mm fan will fit in case. I have bought an extra one because the are so cheap but it just sits in my box. I'm sure the 1900kv will work on it. I think i remember reading on HK website under comments about people using them together.

The 1900Kv version of that motor is a rocket in my eb48. Can't imagine what kind of power the 2100Kv will put out in an e-buggy.

It's almost too much power for a buggy. I use the red 2100kv in my truggies and the red 1900kv in my buggies. These are by far my favorite 1/8 motor for the money. They hang with the best of them at a fraction of the price. If anyone doubts you let them wheel your ride at the track and let them experience it first hand! I have bought around 20 of the 1/8 trackstars so far and not one single issue.

My two personal favorites after trying just about every big name brand is the Speed Passion Silver Arrow V2 1/8 esc and the Hobbywing Xerun 150A Sensored Blue 1/8 esc. They are some of the best performing and tunable escs I have used and I've used a TON of different ones lol.

I have used the silver 17.5 in my slash and sc10 with the Trackstar 100 amp esc since July, and they are very tough, and speed wise I am as fast as anything. I use the program card, highly recommended. I did have an issue with the 1/8 scale esc though and sent it back. I am using the 4 pole 550 Trackstar 5 turn and it works great in my scte. I did add a novak heat sink to the motor to keep it cool as these motors run hot.

I just ordered the 1900kv sensored. Hope it gets here soon!

My motor has arrived. Shipping was faster than what I was expecting. Took two weeks from payment to get from Hong Kong to Australia.

What gray can sensored trackstar would you recommend for a Durango DESC210R? I was thinking the 8.5T but now thinking about the 7.5T. Track is an indoor clay high bite I would say. I am planning on pairing with the Hobbywing Xerun 90a.

Here is a video of the latest iteration of the track:

check your spacing on the rotor before you run it. Mine had so much for and aft play it allowed the rotor to slip off the bearings. Luckily I stopped right away to prevent further damage, added some shims to cut down on the play, and was back in business.

Yeah, there is a few mm play. Sucks as I don't have any shims here anymore, so yet another order. Any idea on what size shims I should stock up on?

On a high bite track you could probably use more power with high traction levels. And you can always tame the motor down with esc tuning. It's better to have a little extra power than to wish you had more.

You will be happy with it for sure. Post back your results once you get some time on the motor.

Waiting on a few more parts to arrive for the MP9E and then im in business. I use to have a 2050Kv in my last buggy on 5S which is why I went 2100kv on 4s with the MP9E.

Just purchased a 2100kv red can motor for my 1/8 buggy. Can't wait to give it a try and see how the $50 motor performs.

I've tried a couple of these trackstar motors (17.5, 13.5 and 10.5), and am very satisfied. I have 4 more coming. The red trackstar cans have holes for the esc wires, and the silver cans have u shapes. The sensor cable in the red cans is a pain to attach/detach with the motor wires in place.

I'm somewhat of a noob and am wondering how y'all are soldering the wires on ?? Any pics ?? I'm just bringing them straight out horizontally from the hole or U.

What is the difference between the red and silver can motors? Which is recommended?

Cook deal bro. Let us know how it turns out for you. I'm sure with the optimal gearing you will be impressed with how good a lil ole $50 motor can run....
