FlySky FS iT4 Transmitter Thread

I got my rpm sensor connected. I love this radio so far. Great range, nice display, touch screen is nice. The bling is a little too much(they only had orange in stock), but all in all a great radio with No problems.

Has anyone gotten anything from the mini-disc including with the FS-iT4?
Page 21 in the Instruction Manual shows a User Manual (item no. 7 with remark
CD). If the Manual was supposed to be on the mini-disc, mine was a dud.

When I run the Firmware Upgrade mode, the radio displays in
Control Panel -> Devices And Printers
as an "Unspecified Device" on a Win7 32bit machine.
I have also wondered if maybe the mini-disc was supposed to include a driver
which installs the radio as a device on a PC machine?
Or maybe FlySky plans to release upgraded Firmware as an .exe or .msi that
installs a driver for the radio?
Just trying to guess my way through how this Firmware Upgrade feature is
intended to operate.

The twisting ability of the steering wheel is sturdy so it should not get sloppy with time. I used it without it moving out of position so its a good feature for those who want to use it.

Anyway, this thread is a duplicate. I have allready started an earlier thread with some info here >>> http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...l#post11852414. Maybe would be good to join the both threads.

The German Absima is preparing to lauch the CR4T radio. It's nothing else but the FS-iT4 in a differently shaped body. The most interesting story is that it could be refitted for left-hand users. The wheel is mounted with three screws and can be moved to the other side. The other controls are also available for both side use. As for me, I like the conservative look of the Absima rather than the look of original Flysky.

As for the framerate, the GT3B/GT3C are somewhere around 22ms. The info, which I received directly from Flysky says, that the framerate of the iT4 is 5ms - but, still I haven't found any confirmation, someone must put it on an osciloscope and check it.

I like the trigger being encompassed by the housing frame as in the FS-iT4.
Having either tang snapped off the trigger is a bummer. Neither has a true
trigger guard which would be better.
Also prefer the On/Off Switch positioned where FlySky decided to put it -
best location I've ever used. With the way they inset the switch in the frame,
it's practically impossible to accidentally depress.
Cannot figure out where Absima put the Power On LED??? FlySky used the antenna
post and made it visible from both sides and even in bright sunlight.
I hope Absima did not neglect to offer the two grip size inserts but I see
no mention of them.
The features list for the Absima mentions "Dual Rate" - I wonder what that
actually is??? AFAIK, FS-iT4 does not have Dual Rate. It gets mentioned in the
back of the manual but I think it's a typo.

I ordered two of them, both arrived a few days ago
Junk, stay away
I installed one into a Losi 8ight-E 2.0 w/ Tekin RX8, the other into my Losi 8ight 2.0eu
Both are twitching like crazy. With the 8ight-E, I can see the throttle being "touched" by watching the ESC lights. At random times, the car surges forward about 2 feet. It's VERY hard jolt, it's like applying full throttle for 1/10th of a second. It sounds like the car gets hit with a piece of wood, just a hard "smack" and the car jumps about 2 feet
On the 8ight 2.0eu Nitro, it's my steering servo. The steering servo will go WAY past the set end points, yanking on the steering saver for a brief moment. You can watch the wheels wiggle as the car is driving.
I have glitch busters on both receivers, but they don't help at all.
I was originally using Traxxas TQi's in both with no problems. I bought them from myrcmart, so I'll be sending these back by the end of the week
buyer beware, it's a shame too, they are built VERY nicely with a TON of features, I really wanted these things to work!!!
I wish I could post links / pics but I need to get my post count up

Tried mine out today, responsiveness and twitchiness I had no issues.
The range sucks
Error rate starts beeping at me around 40-50 metres.
Checked the manual and in the box, the other half of the rx antenna...... ffs!
Bought mine from www.helipal.com tempted to send a nasty email but once I send it back etc.... postage cost
I may just give it to my 3yr old son for his Hyper 9e and get rid of his GT3C

Could you post the helipal link where the FS-iT4 is offered for sale? I've
looked and cannot find any evidence helipal sells radio systems. I need another
FS-iT4. TIA.
Sorry to read your range did not work out. Mine has a strong signal at over
0.5 mile.
