If I choose to order the combo I want who knows when I get it and I want to order another battery as well. but battery will not ship till all back order items are in stock. and if I order motor and battery now and wait on ESC it will cost me 2x's shipping plus is 20$ more expensive. However I can order a comparable system that is in stock and have it in a few days, for less than 20$ more, over ordering it separate. Guess it all depends on how impatient I am..........LOL
Believe me Danny wishes he could keep stuff in stock better as well, here are a couple reasons why though. First off dealing with the chinese is no simple task. Sometimes he places orders for several thousand packs and they ship him 1/4 of his order and he has to wait on the rest until they decide to send it. Then they have quality control issues, Danny and his guys do alot of testing on every shipment they get in to make sure they meet the high expectations of the SMC customer, I know for a fact Danny has sent several shipment back this year because the numbers were not what they were suppose to be, there are several companies that use the same suppliers as SMC, the reason they have product and Danny doesn't is because most companies just see $$$$$, Danny actually cares about his customers while other companies will sell what they get from the factory and really don't care if they meet specs or not.
Trust me Danny does not like having stuff out of stock but most of it really is out of his control, between the chinese and our customs people there is no way for him to really give a firm date.....If he told you they would be here in a week and they get to customs and sit for 2 weeks he really has no control over that, as well the factories ship when they ship, he finds out when they send a tracking #, sometimes they ship quickly, sometimes they don't ship his orders for 2-3 months......the whole system really sucks, one thing you can be sure of is that when you get SMC product it will meet or exceed the SMC specs and it will be fresh.

I was not slamming on SMC at all if that's what it came across as, and I love his batteries and that's what I am running, and the main reason I wanted to go with this combo. It's just the timing thing that I don't know if I have the time to wait several weeks to get the esc/motor combo I wanted. Our winter race series starts soon, first race is Oct. 3rd and I need something before then in enough time to at least hit the track and practice once or twice before then, or I would go ahead and wait. I have a new truck and everything so track time is critical. And I agree with what you said about dealing with overseas suppliers as I do it all the time. But really I was not trying to ruffle any feathers.

What kind of truck do you have that you are trying to get dialed in? I may have a setup that i am confident will get you pretty close if you are interested in trying it.

yeah going from 4wd down to 2wd can be traumatizing for some. I have no doubt you can dial it in Does any one locally have one to help you? If not I can give you a solid starting point for indoor clay, but it may not be optimal. little fine tuning with it and you should be golden. let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer, and yes there are others at our track who run them who share info so I should be good to go, and we used to race these years ago so it will take time to refresh the difference in vehicles.

I just got a pair of 4S short's for my e-8 and am very happy with them. First off, they are two ounces lighter than the packs I was using but have 10% more capacity.

Second: the power. There is this big double at my track that tends to get worn down resulting in cars going nose down off the jump (not just me - many complain). First time I punched it over that double with this new pack car went nose up: so much power I had to correct for it. Wow!

I really wish he could get the 80C packs back. They were phenomenal. The 6000 lasts longer than the 7200 in my SCT410.3.

Hey guys I have a question.

I just got one of the 4400mAh shorty's

But it seems to not fit in my b5m. I have the foam padding on the sides of the battery area. It looks as if those are not there it may would fit.

Is that what you guys are doing to use these in this buggy?

I also have a reedy wolf pack but it needs the padding to fit snug. If I need to take out the foam that's ok I will just need to purchase another SMC pack and sell off the reedy.

Thanks for any help.
