Wow, those went fast, he just had some last week, I will check with Danny to see when he expects more to be in, I will also ask about the adapters.

Just got this message from Danny.

We will get more 5000-50C in early next week with most other packs that are out of stock. For adapters it will be a few more weeks as we just ran out recently.

Danny

Just a heads up... Chinese new year is Jan 31 This year. China plants will shut down for celebration. If your looking or thinking of packs get your orders in before so your not waiting when you need them.

This just posted on the SMC facebook page.

We just received our stock motors based off our popular SMC-1 mod motor tear down. These stock motors are built with American made pure copper wire and are built to ROAR specs but not submitted to ROAR for approval.

The SS-1 stock motors are intended for the club racer who is on budget who wants a good reliable motor. At 54.95 you can't go wrong with this motor for club racing.

Mod motors that were out of stock are now back in stock as well.

http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...y&path=112_114

these motors cost $5 more than the SM-1 motors due to the use of american wire that had to be shipped over for the motors to be built with, they are Still $50 +/- cheaper than the big boys, I will be trying out a 13.5 this weekend.

What's the best way to get in contact with SMC? I did not see an email listed on their site. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up.
Last time it took a month to get anything because everything gets shut down.
I just made an order because of it.

Cant say I am terribly impressed at present. Batteries are reasonable on track but the cells are starting to go out of balance very quickly. I have 4x SMC 6500mah 70c 14.8v packs, 3 of them are out by 0.05 and one of them has one cell dropped 0.4v from the rest.

2 of the packs are 3 race meets old, the other 2 are 2 race meets old. Always balance charged, always stored at 3.8v.

Have you contacted anyone with SMC yet? Danny will most likely want to hear about this and probably have some questions for you...might even have a solution for you after he hears all the details. There is a link a couple post up by me to the U.S. Smc homepage, if you contact them he will get back to you.

I am right there with you .Mine are about 2 months and 4 races old. I have 2 2s 6500 70c right away 1 was at 4.17/4.20. the other is now doing the same thing. i can get them to balance it just takes an extra 30- 40 minutes which is agrivating, I talked to danny he said if it won't balance send it back and he will try or send me a new one, but now with the second doing the same thing........ These are used in a 17.5 sct and only take 1500mah at best, storage charged and balanced everytime with a 730i hyperion. Resistance is low which is why i bought them but the balance issues getting to not be worth it.i was about to buy 6 shorty's for my buggies but that could mean 8 batteries that won't balance.

I'm not sure everybodys expectations are reallistic.

I probably have 20 lipos, literally, all brands including Trinty, TP, SMC, MaxAmps, Protek, Orion and almost none of them balance perfect. They are all within .01-.03. Anything within .05 is fine. I monitor them pretty close. My Orion 5000 90c is .05 out. That bugs me a little. .4, not .04, is pretty ridiculous but .03? That's really not significant. I use a mix of chargers but primarily I use my Orion Touch units. Those are pretty decent. I just started using SMCs again. I used them back in the day when they were twice as much. Back then they were an excellent pack. I'm still not sure about the ones they sell now but I will say that I wouldn't even notice or even be concerned if they don't balance dead on.
