Just to confirm from an earlier thread that the 3PK Spektrum DOES work with the Schultz U-Force 75 without any problems. I have tested this setup yesterday using the kontronik twist motor.
The only thing to worry about are your tires :D |
Thanks for confirming that again, I got my 3PK Spektrum today and can't wait to test it with my U-Force 75 when I finish work today. ;)

Voltage Bounce..
I think the Voltage bounce is caused by the SPEKTRUM System.. Not the Version of the 3PK. I own one of the first 'GOLD' units to hit US shores and the digits following the decimal point are justa blurr.. possibly caused by the 'switching' as stated before. Haven't raced with the SPEKTRUM unit yet, but i don't think it will be a a performance issue.

FailSafe and PPM??..
I got my SPEKTRUM 'bound' but the failsafe isn't quite right.. Took me a couple (binding) tries to get the unit not to throttle at all while in Fail Safe Mode (Transmitter OFF, Reciever ON).. Had to set the 3PK FailSafe settings to +0 Steering and +0 Throttle.. Athough I have gotten the unit to keep the car still in FailSafe Mode, I would prefer to have a lil bit of braking in FailSafe mode..
When i tried to set the 3PK FailSafe throttle settings to anything other than +0, the result would always be open throttle in the FailSafe Mode (Transmitter OFF, Reciever ON).. (Even if the 3PK FailSafe settings actually had some braking programmed in.., such as -XX...) I wonder if the cause is due to the fact that 3PK FailSafe is a PCM feature and not PPM feature.. PPM is what the SPEKTRUM instructions specify to be used... any thoughts.. could i be overlooking a step/detail in the transmitter settings.. |

Have you tried turning off the failsafe, you should be able to hold the brakes while binding the system. The position everything is in when binding is the setting the Spectrum uses when it looses it's signal. It's worth a try. Keep us posted. Ray |

Ray now that i think about how the instructions are actually 'worded'... thanks for the tip. |
Re: Re: Re: FailSafe and PPM??..
Originally posted by OSherman never thought about that.. will give it a go and see what happens.. now that i think about how the instructions are actually 'worded'... thanks for the tip. You got it. Haven't gotten a Spectrum for my 3pk yet. I had one for my M8. No one has the tx and rx in stock yet. Just the tx. Where did you get yours? Ray |

3PK version has been out for several weeks now. I got mine over a week ago. Never had any problem so far, bind smoothly, failsafe works, use "chapstick" cover to cover the antenna hole....perfect fit, reciver pack with digital servo on 4 cell oval race at BMS.
