that would be great.. i'll be awaiting your post.

eventually it will be approved here some day.. but as great as this product is supposed to be... i want it NOW... i had a horrible weekend with radio interference......... that's why,.

Santosh,

If I am not mistaken it does have a CE sticker on the bottom of the transceiver. I out mine in a 12th scale this weekend out of a sedan and remember seeing the sticker.

Island-- Noticed the same on our 2x4 bordered track. I had a side-on slap and the car shut down, had steering but no go. After a rear end from me sitting there, the car came back "up" and off I went. That was the only"glitch" form a full day of use. Definatly nice from a ease of use standpoint.

Ah, Ok, that sticker. I must admit that it's in a terrible location. I put double sided tape over it to mount to the chassis and when I removed the unit, the sticker came with it.

The tranceiver has CE and FCC stcikers on the underside..

:D

I love you guys ;-) Thank you for checking for me.

Checked with the local organizations and the CE sticker is enough for us. I ordered my system already for me 3PK. I won't be racing with it for at least a month though. Will let you know my expenrience. And if someone runs into "cheaper" receivers.. let me know.... I am going to sell most of my regular radio receivers, crystals, etc.... and spend that money on more receivers!

Just about completed a 2300mah rechargable pack for my transmitter. This should solve my power draw from the transmitter module that I have had. The 700mah pack just doesn't last long, especially if it is old like mine (over 2 yrs old). The battery and materials did not cost me more than $26 and a small amount of time.

I use the battery tray and individual GP2100 AA cells. Works great, except for the pesky "Voltage Bounce"

rskiba 04-12-2005 11:21 AM

Anyone had issues with the battery tray and re-charging the Tx pack while using NiMH batts.? I cannot slow or fast charge these batteries in the holder. I am inclined to think that the tray is cheap and does not make very good contact but not am sure.

The tray may not be designed to recharge batteries. It may have been designed for dry cells only with no recharging capabilities. I am making my rechargables into a pack just like the one that comes with the radio. Then, I can unplug it and recharge it just like receiver packs due to the connector that I am using.

I built a 9cell ni-mh battery pack.. and have no problems charging it inside the 3PK using the stock Fut. charger and jack.

I use the battery tray with Energizer 2100mah nmh rechargable batteries on my 3PK. I also got a Futaba NT8F600B Sanyo pack as back-up. Dose not have any problem with voltage drop or bouncing so far. I also use a 5-cell receiver pack.

I just noticed that the voltage display is flickering also. It jumps very quickly as has been described earlier in this thread. One thing that is interesting is that I have two 3PK Txs, one is mine (about 10 months old) the other is my sons which we just bought last week. My old Tx does not have the voltage flicker with the Spektrum but his does with the Spektrum. I will need to see if it does the same thing with the regular module installed....further research necessary....

I switched from the Spectrum back to the regular Futaba module and the voltage bounce went away. It's strange...I bet Horizon is going to see a lot of calls coming in on this...and I was the first, wow I feel special ;)

As long as the system is working they wont be getting a call from me... Unless they announce its a problem...

Not sending mine back unless I really have to
