My first race day on the system will be today :)

Can't wait....time to get out the dremmel and cut up my cover..lol

I did not know they made a Spektrum system for the 3PK. They should make one for the 3PM (that's what I have) I don't wanna be left out! haha

and observed no lag or control issues all night...
sound's like it's a good product to me. ;)

If ya didn't wanna be left out you should have gotten any radio that uses an external module...(Except Multiplex:cry: )...

As it stands...I've heard rumours of an XS3 internal module change possibility down the road..but nothing about any other radios.

I used the system tonight for the first time and it ran perfectly, I have noticed the voltage jumping around now, I checked this right away and it was fine but now the last number is changing so fast I can hardly see what it is
I just need to get everyone using it at my club now, all those aerials waving around can put you off:sneaky:

I guess we'll call this phenomenon "Voltage Bounce" It seems to only happen to 3PK's and it's random on who it affects.

I did however run my Spectrum DSM system all day today and it performed perfectly all day. I'm very happy with it, but who would like the price of stand alone receivers drop by $30.00?!? I feel $80.00 is steep.

After getting my Spektrum equip back from Horizon, I am happy to report that it is working fine! I ran all day at the local dirt track and not one problem other than driver error :D

Have any of you guys had problems with your system shutting off after a crash???? while i think its good that the system have
such a safety feature i saw a couple of instances where this costed the person the race.

ChrisP 04-10-2005 08:24 AM

When you look at the price of the Synth receivers by Novak, JR or Airtronics I'd say $80 is a pretty darn good price....

Ran mine for the first time this weekend in my 3PJ, not 3PK, and it was flawless. Same track where I used to get radio hits, NOTHING all day long. Definatly realize the value of the convenience and performance after this weekend. Best part was that I didn't have to mess with impound all day long, as they let spektrum owners take them back to pits.

Ran my other setup today in my 1/8th rallycross, and it worked flawlessly...

I wont be going back to crystals thats fer sure..

:D

Had a very successful testing of the system in two separate cars this past weekend. My only problem was that the older 700mah battery pack in my radio did not hold up all day. The transmitter module zapped the power down to my low battery status in about an hour. I would advice anyone that has an older pack in their radios to upgrade to the highest mah pack that you can find. Outside of that, I had no problems and will move all of my race gear over to the system, saving the crystal system to my basher cars that I practice with at home.

I hope you'll don't mind me asking a totally different question. Does this system have a CE-approval? Are you willing to check that for me? It has to have a CE sticker on it. I need to know this otherwise I cannot use it in Europe. The manual says it has been approved in several European countries and this approval is usually marked with the CE-sticker.... can you help?

John Fontaine 04-11-2005 07:23 AM

Mine didn't come with a CE sticker. Would you mind explaining to us what CE stands for so we can help you better?

Santosh 04-11-2005 08:07 AM

CE is the Europe what FCC is to the USA.

i saw in the manual the spektrum system is approved for use in some European countries but local rules demand a CE sticker.

thanx for looking anyway!

theisgroup 04-11-2005 08:30 AM

i thought the ce sticker was on the bottom of the transciever. I will look when I get home
