Try a different motor, the Reedy is very popular when used with the LRP, most people in the UK run Hobbywing those that run LRP are still running the Flow I believe and as far as I know none of these run LRP motors.
And yes, I just got my USB Bridge v3 so I just changed to the StockSpec firmware. |
My flow team has a broken push button. I cannot change settings (stuck on blinky) and cannot recalibrate esc. Can anybody tell me if LRP America would repair and a ballpark cost. I email them and submitted a RMA but no answer from them and has been a week. Ill hate to have to replace the esc for a broken button. This thing was like $180 when I bought it. bummer.

I have been running LRP for years, when the Flows just came out and they have performed flawlessly. They been racing back to back indoor to outdoor seasons with no issues. I have now upgraded to the Flow X in my TC, and love it. I hope this (repair time) is a temporary set back for the North American market.

I send in my esc for repair. Already 2 months and no response.
support almost 2 years back support was GREAT they replace my ESC with a new one! I contacted and submitted RMA 3 weeks back no response, also called the support number no return call. I think LRP is are dealing with some issues which I do not care to discuss on this open forum, just research for yourself. I hope things get better for LRP. Hopefully I'll hear from support this week... |
I have a new FlowX that does not work unless you bump the tire, for esc to get a sensor reading from motor.
Was told a known issue for these speedo's. Saw on the LRP website that there was new software to fix this issue. Of course the V2 bridge doesn't work on the FlowX. $40 later for the V3 bridge new software update and STILL same issue. Always had good service from LRP, but I have now learned my lesson. Never again LRP, it was good while it lasted. |
Still no word about the programming box that the Flow X was designed to work with?
|
Well, never mind. I submitted a service ticket on their page and its been 9 days and no replies.... Seriously? Funny that the message after submitting the "ticket" said they will contact me within 24 hours.... its been 9 days! LOL

Never again LRP, it was good while it lasted. I had this exact same issue develop with my FlowX Stock Spec. I had to slightly rotate the wheels for the esc to react to throttle inputs. 5 runs later, the esc stopped the car, registered lights that denote a blocked rotor. The motor was freely moving, so I turned off, and it wouldn't power on again. It's totally dead. When it worked, I loved it. All these bad service problems and product failures are very sad, as LRP used to be the best, remembering back to the IPC V6. It's a shame. |

This adaptor and the v(x).2 firmware should fix all issues related to the cogging and 'bump starting'. Not ideal and not aesthetically pleasing (for me).:cry: But problem should be fixed now. Hope this helps. Leonard. |

I have the new update bridge and have been trying to download the new V5.2 stock spec firmware. I can get the manual to come up and the update tool firmware installs fine, but the V 5.2 update will not open, says the file type is not supported or it is damaged. I am a bit electronically challenged, but have not had this problem with any previous lrp updates or Orion for that matter. Anybody have any ideas to point me in the right direction. I too have had no luck getting a response from LRP.
Thanks |
Anybody know what kind of solder LRP uses on the Flo X? My hakko iron maxed out wont even begin to melt the solder.
|
I had the same issue with my LRP soldering station.
I upgraded to a weller 120W. They use the lead free solder, but the 3mm PCB is sucking all the heat and the solder will not melt. You have to use a 100W+ solder iron. |
