I only know that the European team is working on a new software version.

How do I check which version of firmware my esc has? I bought it used.

BTW... when you say Mode 2 Brake Mode.... is that pertaining to the amount of brake you can decrease and increase in the ESC?

:eek:There are two ways to find this out.
You can connect the ESC to your computer running Win7 using the LRP bridge V2 and firmware updater.
Or you can reset the ESC to see if it is blinking then it can be 1.4, 3.8 or 5.4.
If it isn't blinking this is then 4.7. The most likely firmwares are 4.7, 5.4 and 1.4.
I hope this helps.

thanks..... I don't have the LRP bridge V2 yet and I'm running Win10 ... is that compatible?

My ESC blinks.

BTW... does Mode 2 Brake Mode pertain to the amount of brake you can decrease and increase in the ESC?

The software doesn't currently work on anything newer than Windows 7. I've had to use Virtualbox USB passthrough with a Win7 VM to get it to work on my Win10 system.

Unfortunately the software isn't working on Win10 or the latest Mac OS X, but I heated that the team is working on a new version to fix this issue.

Hi Torque,
Thank you for video. Now I'm jealous that the updater is working on your tablet,
but not on my sons ultrabook.:cry: The driver install wasn't a big issue, but the troubleshooting tool doesn't fix the program issue. The LRP tool still crashes after the first promt. Anyway he can use our old XP VM.

Phillip F 06-17-2016 01:16 AM

If I can find my old computer with XP or Win7... where can I download the software?

In the video you say it makes absolutely no sense that it requires Java. The application is written in the Java programming language, presumably to make it easier to port (ie, to Mac).

I would rater use 4.7 and change settings 5 and 6 to zero. This will give you blinky.
The Drag Bracke can be set higher with 4.7. In general I suggest the settings 4-2-2-4-0-0-0- for 4.7 and 6-2-2-2-0-0-0 for 5.4. You can play with settings 1(drag-brake), 3 (initial-brake) and 4 (initial drive/ minimum throttle) to tune it to your liking.

Thanks for the suggestion,, seemed to work great. May try the 4.7 as suggested and try the higher drag brake settings

Glad that it worked.

Actually is very long overdue that LRP update their software to accommodate all the newer OSes.

Even on Win7, the updater gave me problems. I had to find alternative laptops on older Microsoft OSes or Macs to get my ESCs updated.

I hear you. I keep an VM with Win XP only for LRP, Motolyzer and the centry data logger.
