Hi guys,

I just tried to flash my flow works team to mod firmware. I left everything alone while it was updating, but it failed part way through. I came back to this message and now it won't reconnect. Is there anything I can try?

I had this happen and unfortunately nothing worked and I had to send it in to be reflashed.

So any capacitor will do?

Yes. The bigger the capacitor rating the better but you will be fine and hard pressed to notice a big difference so long as you are running 2s Lipo.

Hey Luke, Three times I tried to do the update. The first time my computer was dead, next the updater failed to open properly and then 3rd time it wouldn't connect at all. I have used it several times to update firmware and never had a problem. I am going to stick with 5.4 as it seems the Universe is telling me to stick with it. I listen to the Universe and I am not happy with its decision.

See yah tomorrow. 5.0 vs 5.4

Mike

Hi,
What is the difference between the 4.7/5.4 and the 5.0 firmware?
Thank you

I know that 5.4 is stock, 3.8 is off-road and 4.7 is mod.
But what is 5.0.

geeunit1014 02-14-2016 07:06 AM

5.0 is the old stock software. 5.4 is the newer stock software

No, I don't know if any way except for the bridge. You can maybe narrow it down to a few firmwares based on how many programming modes you have access to but it gets trickier after that.

New LRP speed control coming soon

I'm hearing there will be a replacement for the LRP Flow released in Summer around July.

I suggest to use the 4.7 "mod" firmware and set it to blinky-mode 5 and 6 to zero. The main difference between the 4.7 and 5.4 firmware are that the brake on the 4.7 feels stronger and the throttle on the 5.4 is a bit more aggressive. I only use the 5.4 for boosted stock and 1/12 mod classes.
I hope this helps.
Denis

I think you can use 5.4 just change the brake mode from the default setting which is pretty bad IMO. I like the brakes on 4.7 better but 5.4 has much better throttle feel for stock.

I usually run5.4 firmware settings: 5,2,2,6,0,0,0
