Same receiver you've used all along or a new receiver?

solly 04-12-2006 07:59 PM

i tried 2 different receivers..one that ive run before in my 18t with no problems and a brand new receiver that ive never used before. Changing them didnt solve the problem.

Double check your battery supply. The only problem I've had shutting down was on the straight almost same spot each lap just before the sweeper (so yes it got ugly) after trying different things including a different receiver problem was the battery pack - cracked solder joint.

Also check the SpektrumRC site for a bulletin on the antenna routing in the TX module. I have seen two problems with glitching and or shutting down and in both instances it was due to the coax coming disconnected inside the module. It's worth checking anyway.

I checked the antenna routing on my maodule and it is on top of the board instead of being on the bottom so it looks like i will be sending it out to be fixed. Ive been using it for quite awhile with no problems indoors...this was really the first time ive tried it outdoors...could that make the difference?

I have the older system for the M11 Radio with multiple receivers. Does any one know if they can be sent in for reprogramming to get the quicker speed of the new pro series?? Thanks!

Where can you buy an LM7806? is something that most electronic stores carry?

yes send it back and ask for the software to be upgraded to the lastest and you'll be very pleased. i've already done this and noticed a significant change. ;)

Yes they should have them.
Be sure you meet the minimum input voltage of the regulator your getting. (check out datasheets with google)

Anyone have any news/updates on when the Pro series will be available?

Superfly1967 04-16-2006 07:08 AM

How does one know if I have the newer or older system?

HOW TO CHECK YOUR TRANSMITTER MODULE

Using a Phillips screwdriver carefully remove the case from your module and examine the antenna connection to the board:

Correct

Note the antenna coax is routed under the main radio board.

Incorrect

The antenna coax is routed over the board in close proximity to power capacitors and IC’s compromising signal integrity. Please return to Spektrum for service. In the case of Futaba Hitec modules, a longer antenna wire will be needed.

Does any1 know if they have created a Module for the Ko Propo Mars R?
