I got three of the 65C packs yesterday....the wiring harnesses have a different male bullet connector than the 40Cs I have. They look similar to the castle bullets, and should fix the problem with the bullets flattening out over time and becoming loose.

I just received (4) 5800 45c 2s batteries today and (4) 5000 65c 2s batteries today and they all came with deans connectors. When they come in the new ones that I just got are only in stock for abouta week and they are all sold out. They really are one of the best batteries out therefor the price. You have to call HobbyPartz and find out when they are coming in stock and check the web site everyday. They have some 5300 45c 2s packs that I saw an ad for but arent on the HobbyPartz website so I email Jen fron GensAce and ask her questions if I cant get ahold of anyone at HP. Gabriel when are you coming down to Tinas and race with us.

Just received 8 packs from GensAce and none of em say roar approved last year I got 9 packs and most of them said roar approved so who knows.

Who cares? Who cares? I care and I'm sure there are others that care as well. I bought two of the Gen Ace 5000mah 4s one month ago and they have 4-6 cycles each on them. Yesterday during a race one of them died, no spit, sputter, or hickup just boom....dead. Today I take a closer look and when the volt meter showed 0 I instantly think connector. While checking the connector to see if it's loose to my surprise the red lead wire comes out of the case (see photos). Maybe some people may feel paying $70 + shipping for a battery to run 4-6 cycles and toss it is ok I certainly do not. To me that would the same as paying $100 for a car battery and as long as it cranks the car 6-8 times all is good, toss it and buy another. That's BS....I pay good money for a product from a company that is supposed to be quality and last hundreds of cycles I expect it to do so. If it doesn't then the company should stand behind it and replace it, if they can't make good on their product then don't feed people the crap about how good it is and it's cheaper. It's not ok to sell something claiming it's as good as any, it fail, then say it's ok cause it's cheaper. I care!

I think ROAR may have made a mistake when they published the list. Most of the Gens Ace batteries all have the same style designation, then a couple have some oddball number system. My 4-0c battery is supposed to be approved but it is the same numbering system as the 30c, 45c, and 50c that are approved. However, for the 40c battery they show some strange part number. I actually have the approved stickers. LMAO.

Same thing happened to my 4s 5000 I bought March 10th. I know they won't cover it since I cut it open to try and solder the tab back on, same result, solder won't stick to whatever that stuff is. I guess I could make it into a 3s pack. Kind of pissed, 5 cycles on my pack too, wires not run through the hold down straps. I'm going to try Turnigy for my next battery. It's a real letdown, all the Gens ace 2s batteries I have are great... Not so good with the 4s hard case.

I havent had a problem with breaking the solder. My problem seems to be the life span of the batteries. The 2 packs I have now have less than 50 runs each and are already taking significantly less than 5000 mah. I always balance charge them at 3.5 amps. Never overheated either. They also have developed a slight puff. Kinda irritating. They still provide great power though. I want to try nanotechs but I need the hard case.

I saw a Gens Ace advertisement on youtube yesterday

Did anyone notice that HK got a bunch of Nano Tech batteries in the US warehouse now including the 6k and 6.6k 65 2s packs? I love GA but now that HP raised their prices and I really wanted something with higher capacity I couldn't help not to order two 6.6k packs from the US warehouse. I know that GA has a cult following but 57 bucks for a 5800 mah battery??? What happened to their reasonable prices? The Nano Tech 6600 were only 43 bucks a piece. Oh and my shipping cost was only 6 bucks for both.

I've had very good luck with the 40c 5000 GA packs I own. I was dissapointed with the 2 50c packs I bought more recently. There was nothing wrong with them except that the 40c packs out perform them both on a discharger and on the track and the part numbers don't match the ROAR approved list. HobbyPartz has worn me out having to look at their web site everyday and never finding what I'm looking for. They list a quad charger, a couple of metal gear servos, an amp meter, and more of the 40c batteries that I'd like to buy but are never in stock. It just makes me bitter looking for them. I think it's time to move on to a more reliable seller and just pay the extra dollars to get what I'm looking for. So much for saving a few bucks. It isn't worth the aggravation. |
you get what you pay for,,,if you buy a cheap battery the masses of bashers will come but,,,they will soon realize that you always get what you pay for.

LOL Sergey. I'm amazed at the people who will pop down $60 on an HDMI cable that can be had at Amazon for $7.
