Yes, I have noticed it heating up, but only to a barely noticable level. But I notice that just about all modules heat up to some extent, its just usually not noticed by the user. I also noticed that it heated up in my Lynx 3D as well. So I'm not concerned about it. It has worked flawlessly in both races I've used it at.

Try it, you'll like it.

Not really
But you can put a camera in the car & a reciever connected to the radio & you can drive the car looking at the screen on the back of the 3pk

I've had my 3PK for more than a year now. Still need to know a lot about it. But ....so far it is the best radio I have ever had. I only use FUTABA. I have a Magnum & a Megatech Black version. I use HRS most of the time but I also use Novak XXL for indoors & PCM for outdoor oval. I use receiver packs whenever in HRS & digital servo. Never had any problem.

Video hook-up .......uuuummmmm that's something I have to see to believe

Jeepny, why do you use a reciever pack. Do you run 1/12 scale ?

Well i finally passed on my 3PJ(date coded at 1996) and moved on to the 3PK. Gone is the need to carry the much dog eared manual. The 3 levels are fast to get at and finding things fast is easy now. Even if you dont recall where EPA or CH REV is the 3 menus are accessed very quickly. I never had any performance issues with the 3PJ just headachs with menus

Racing 2 classes used to mean scrambling though 3pj menus to switch models now its a 5 second process.

Best thing about the 3pj and the 3pk is they fit man sized hands. Some of the little men can use the KO mars but guys with real paws will apreciate the fit of a Futaba!

Instead of going synthesized, why not get the spectrum modual and recievers when they come out. Its 2.4Ghz and automatically locks onto an open channel so you dont even have to turn dials to set your frequency. You can also get rid of the antenna which can obstruct your view depending on how you hold the radio.

That's true but I'd also like to see more feedback from those who have the Spektrum set-up.
