Our experiment with the larger capacitor did not work. We have the program card and set everything regarding brakes to max and nothing worked.

Don't waste any more time and money trying to figure it out.

We're switching ESC's come payday.

You could just ask your brother to walk you through it, he's had a few Speed Passion esc's including the one you just got. :sneaky:

What Radio are you using with it?

It's an older Airtronics MX-3 FHSS 2.4 GHz Model. I haven't had any issues with it and 3 or 4 other models of speed controls. I can calibrate the ESC with the radio using the setup button, but I can't modify any of the braking or throttle curve settings like the manual says I should be able to.

Join the club...:(... I have tried it with 2 different KO radio's EX-1 KIY & EX-10 Euros... still no joy.. with "any brakes" in Blinky mode.... but the brakes sure as hell do work well in any other mode...:weird::rolleyes:... I have tried EVERYTHING to get brakes but I'm just chalking it up as .. the programing for blinky mode just sucks for Braking on theses speed controls:cry:... its a shame since they are so smooth an punchy ..:(.... Looks like I will just have to try to load the Much More Software for one of my Older Revention Pro's to see if that can work....:rolleyes:

I found out on bigger tracks. By going down in pinion gear. Helped to get more out of the motor. You might want to try 13 tooth pinion with your setup.

Well ive been trying to get an rma from speed passion and there site is trash cause it dose not allow me to submit. Esc sensor board blew up on day 1 of use. All plugged in correct and turned it on and smoke came out and melted the sensor wire. Been trying tobget ahold of them with no response. I deff will not be useing there products anymore

Got A Reventon S for review I'm doing and I don't know if its the lack of caffine or just me being slow but I can't get it into blinky mode.

I set the timing to 0 but it doesn't blink.... is blinky not availble on the s/ware it comes with out of the box? on the firmware version item on the LCD card it says Mod1 and I can't change that via the card - does this mean i need to doe an ESC Software upgrade??

IS there a link to a simple step by step guide or a sticky on how to do this for someone who has zero sleep?

You need to d/l the software to your laptop. Then use that to to load the blinky software to your speedo via program card. You can find the software and videos in this link.
