No, it seems like LRP didn't upgrade the hardware but only the case. You definately have a V1 Speedo in your hands. Sould describe your problem and send it back to Tower Hobbies or the LRP distributor.

As stated before all V2 speedos (4.2 and 4.4) have 12 profiles on Mode 3 whereas the V1 only has 10.

Just received my replacement SXX STOCK SPEC V2. They told me I was on 120 on the waiting list. I was wondering if anyone else got their and does anyone know if they have the upgraded BEC?

Pretty sure it was my BEC that failed on my SSX Stock Spec V2 the night before our State Championship race in my WGT 10.5 CRC, lucky for me I was able to get receiver LiFE battery and still compete. these are nice ESC's but this BEC issues is a real problem for such and expensive piece of electronics.

Not sure if it's even worth sending in, I'll just run it with the LiFE Battery from here on out. I've heard they have a plug and play board that will be available sometime as they know it's a real issue.

speedo settings LRP stock speck V2 with

Motors with final gear and timming
9.5 X12 LRP for small track
13.5 trinity for a small track

Depending on the motor, but a starting point for 13.5 4.25 temp after 2 mins and just gearing. (I would assume you will be down around 4.1 to 4.0)

9.5 - 7.2 but this is my best guess based on what you have provided... Again, check the temp on the motor....

I have a LRP SXX StockSpec v2. I want to run blinky mode.

do I have to have Mode 2 AND Mode 3 set to zero? or JUST Mode 3 set to Zero?

Would like an honest answer before I open the package on this thing.

Looking for a good starting point for 8.5 reedy. First time running this low of turn motor and not sure where to start on gearing or what to program on the esc. I will be running on asphalt track, the dimensions of the track is 160x80

Are you running it on a stock spec? If so, id go 0 (blinky) throttle profile, and 2 boost
