So, does the VTX10R come with recommendations for setups? I know the ProGauge can do all kinds of groovy stuff...

I'll be dropping it into a XXX-SCT with either a 17T or 13T Viper (I bought both :lol: ). The track is SDRC Raceway in San Diego, a brand new indoor clay track with a 130ft straight and a pretty gnarly triple triple ;) I've got video here:

Yes, it comes with 8 different profiles loaded into the unit, you can use one of the profiles or adjust it to fit your driving style and needs with the Pro Gauge - its all your choice. The instructions will lay out what each of the profiles setting are and a description of what all those groovy changes can do.

I'm getting the vtx10r and I'm putting it in my sc10 4x4. I have two questions. When will the viper 550 become available for sale. And until it comes out I plan on running it with a novak ballistic 4.5 550. And my other question is, will I run into any issues running the Novak with the vtx10r. The reason I ask is I run a Tekin rs in my rc10b4 and I always have cogging with the ballistic 540's with it.

Bburns- I can't see any reason why you would have issues. Have you ever tried a different motor with that RS (say a Viper motor?:sneaky:). I wouldnt think it would cog with that set up.

can someone post up the instructions so that I can look at the settings and other adjustments. The website does not describe all functions or list them. This looks like I will be getting one to test out vs my other preferred ESC. But I would like to know what and how to adjust it. Thanks

Ya that's the thing, it doesn't happen with other motors, just the novaks. I just wanted to make sure I wouldnt run into an issue like my rs and ballistic. I plan on putting a viper motor in the b4. If I like the viper speedo I'll put one in my t4 and my Kyosho scr.

Any setup info when running the vtxr with a 4.5 550 motor?
