please viper when is the release of the new VTX8 or the new esc for 1/8's? i really need one and i don't want to go to Tekin orion hw, is it mid year? any hints?

New speed control lines are being working on -- I don't have definite dates on when product will be released, we don't want to do that until we are more definite on product arrival. Unfortunately, its never fast enough.

do all the new viper black edition motors come with 12.3mm rotors? even the mod motors? I assume the 10.5 has the 12.3mm stock rotor.

Yes, all the motors come with 12.3 rotors. 12.5 rotors are option parts.

in short i have to settle either tekin (crappy switch) or orion (esc for rich guys), or hw (probably the best china made esc), thanks nikos2002, if i still got the budget, i still buy the new viper 1/8's esc when it release. (i wish the ezlink are compatible with the new one) :tire:   :tire:

TLR_TeknoRC - I could try and be funny and say -- don't worry those other ones will probably crap out right about the time our new ones are coming out.... :ha: :batman:

really? viper esc's are not the be all end all in esc. you really shouldn't say anything about other companies products..all brands have issues including yours.

I had nothing but issues with viper. alternating f and r on every damn motor, battery, whatever, chasing problems meanwhile whole time it was the esc. no way 3 diff motors, 5 dif batteries and swapping new stuff after new stuff was all bad.

all I got from viper is that its a high spike error, bs. every motor? every battery? junk

I wont say what company I switched to, but guess what?, not one single issue.

normally I would even post this but to see you trying to bash other companies meaning your esc are the best is far from the truth..

btw I am on all the esc threads and unless I missed it I never see other companies being bashed by those trying to sell their own. very unprofessional.

Evo X Revo, while I probably wouldn't have made the comment Nick did, it certainly wasn't worthy of your over the top response. If you are displeased with the Viper products...UNSUBSCRIBE!

I think he was trying to make light of a very difficult situation. It was clearly a joke and made in jest, he didn't even list any brands or in my opinion make any comments attacking the other companies and their products. Again it was a joke made to lighten the mood and say hopefully when the new ESCs are released the individual will be in the market for an ESC and will select Viper.

nikos2002 05-21-2015 09:57 AM

Evo X Revo - it was a joke -- that's why I put the ha! sign (:ha:) on it.

Every brand, including ours, has the potential to have a problem. Anyone who says otherwise is not telling the truth.

Would never bash any other company, I actually communicate with counterparts in other companies on a regular basis --- we all have the same common goal -- make good products and help our customers, while trying to sell our stuff and beat each other at the track.

I've been a fan of viper for awhile and I must say the new black edition motors and vf4 series are a breath of fresh air. Quality products and very palettable for the common folk racers pocket book.

Not sure what you mean by the switch "shorts out". Power is on or its not, it it stops during a run something else is going on --- temp cut off, lipo cut off, connection? PM me with more info about when and how it happens...
