It will be written on the latest version user manual. Please note that the motor temperature cut off only works with motors that have temp sensors installed. Also, the temperature reading was from the core of the motor, not the motor can surface. That means, when you get 160* on the motor can, it could be 200* in the core.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROTECTION

Battery Cut Off: Parameters from 4.5V to 13.5V, (0.1V incremental). Allows user to set the cut-off for the appropriate voltage per type of battery used.

Motor Temperature Cut Off: Parameters from 160 Degrees to 270 Degrees (10 degrees incremental). Motor temperature cut activation is indicated by blinking “F” and “R” LEDs.

ESC Temperature Cut Off: Parameters from 160 Degrees to 270 Degrees (10 degrees incremental). ESC temperature cut activation is indicated by blinking “F” and “R” LEDs with solid “N” LED.

Congrats to Lou Como for making the A-Main last night...morning... at the Missouri RC Pro Series Round 1. He and I both were in the B-Main, and he bumped out. Not going to lie, i was asleep during the A-Main.... so, im sorry, but i have NO idea where you finished. That was a 30 hour race day. Racing started at 10AM, and we didnt get done till.....4AM? So travel and such was about 30 hours for me.

So-the Viper 8th scale motors...... You are all in for a treat.

GJ Lou makin' it to the BIGshow:tire:......I seen our buddy Gary was there....LOL!

Are the 1/8th scale motors coming out in May? Are they going to be built like the 540 motors so they can be over geared or more like the Tekin's?

Alright-some info about the Viper 8th scale motors

OK-RC Pro Series round 1 EScale buggy
during practice-geared 17/46 with the 1600-Ran for about 5 minutes, came off the track room temp., but had great power and very very very smooth. Mid throttle is when the motor....found itself, and took off though. Was very awkward to drive like that. BUT- it was driveable.

First qualifier-Bumped the Tekin RX8 up to profile 2, 27* of timing. Much better, mid was a lot smoother, and had quite a bit more top end. Came off at 100*. Was thinking about gearing up a hair more, but didnt want to lose the bottom I had.

2nd qualifier-Bumped Tekin to profile 3, not sure WHAT amount of timing it had, but it was more. TONS more power. Mid throttle went back to being touchy, for some reason. BUT-had a lot more top end, and bottom was still very smooth. Came off at 112

3rd qualifier-same as 2nd, didnt change anything.

Main- 2 minute warm up and 8 minute main. Didnt change anything, but came off at 130 after 10 minutes. Motor never felt soft, or gave anything away during the round.

Keep in mind-not 100% sure the exact specifications of the throttle profiles on the RX8, and this RX8 was ancient, so not sure on its....test worthiness..... had my fellow Tekin team driver do that for me ;)

NO ETA-NO ETA-NO ETA....but testing is looking great. So its ON the way!
