You do need to make sure that you have downloaded the version for your version if VTX- each unit had a slightly different protocol - but all delivers the same performance in the end.

When you plug your VTX into the VLink if an older software is on the unit it will automatically start to update. If you already have a64 on your unit and want to reset all the parameters. You have to initiate the download yourself.
I found this video on youtube:

I have downloaded the correct file (ViperVLink_VTX10_10R_A64_For Black Edition Only_Release) and I followed the steps as described. On my vlink screen there is no indication of the firmware version of my esc, as seen on the video. Check out the attached screenshot from the youtube video, the area I marked with a green circle. I don't see anything like that on my vlink screen either before, or after the update.

you are using a55 software...it says so at the top. and 5.5 mean a55 where is say current version. Not the circle in red on mine

Please read:

"...Check out the attached screenshot from the youtube video,..."

The attached screenshot is from the youtube video, like I said, not from my vlink....

Nikos, if it makes any sense to you, please let me know

your making no sense. show a screw shot of what YOUR seeing. not the tutorial video using the a55 firmware. We need to see what you see. make your own video of the issue.

Also, if you dont correctly put the esc into programming mode, it wont see your esc, thus cant see your version.

1- plug battery into the esc
2- power the esc on
3- once it boots, press the vink button for about 2 seconds.
4- plug in the vlink cable and the usb PC link

5- run the viper software.

Well feel like a idiot. Started trouble shooting my esc and hooked up my progauge to it and seen I had my lipo cut off set way to high. Lowered it down to where it should be and it works perfect again lol.

Well my ESC is going back to mother. It is acting real screwy. Work normal, but after 10 to 15 minutes acts like it hits LVC. It shakes, stutters, then stops. I unplug the battery, count to 30, plug the battery in and I run for another 10 to 15 minutes and it does the same thing all over again.

I dropped the LVC down to 5 volts. Did not make any difference. After the other issue of not turning off, and being locked out of forward. I think it needs to be looked at. I should have it in the mail by Tuesday.

Buzz.

@Wildcat1971

Who are you? Are you a Viper representative? If not, please stop replying to my posts. I would rather have somebody from Viper reply, one who can read English, who can write English and who knows what one is talking about.

Way to respond to someone trying to help you. If you want a viper rep call customer service. Nick is great replying in here when he can, but most of us are not Viper reps. If you want viper only a public forum isn't the place to ask your question

It sounds to me like your not in program mode before you hook the pc link up. But do what ever you like.
