Good Luck to all Viper Drivers @ Cactus today!

First race with the new 4whl and Viper system, Qualified 3rd took 2nd in the main.Turned the fastest lap of the day 15.9. This speedo and motor (6.5) are super smooth. The ProGauge gives you so much adjustably quickly that you can make any changes track side when needed.

does this motors have a funny smell like they are burning up but yet they are warm to the touch.... has this happen to any one with a new motor?

I have also been getting a smell from my Viper 8.5T. It smells like it is cooked, although I have checked temps often during every run and never been over 165F. I have not noticed any loss of power or efficiency so I have continued to run it, about 7-8 packs so far and today I did not notice it as much.

Mine, and every other one I have sold to customers hav tended to do that. I believe they are just breaking in.

its just the assembly lube getting hot that is stinking once its all gone the motors will stop smelling weird.my 13.5 never got over 80 degrees when i ran it so it has not smelled but the 8.5 at 120 or so kinda smelled but i expected it.

No worries, standard smell. Once the motors are "broken in" they get even stronger :D

Great results from the Cactus Classic.

Andrew Smolnik - was leading 4wd 13.5 until the last corner (actually the last jump before the last corner) when he bobbled and came in 2nd overall. He also finished 4th in 13.5 2wd, after a first lap crash he was about last, but came back to 4th

Billy Fischer finished 7th in 4wd SC with new VST XL prototype motor. He also finished in the B Main in both 2wd Mod and 4wd Mod

Mike Garrison was in the B in Viper RC SC Pro Lite (17.5)

Great showing at the first major off road event for the team!!

Up Next.
ROAR Carpet Nats
Short Course Showdown, Round 1
