At one point I had removed the sensor wire from the motor and esc at the same time when I was installing the new motor. Is it possible that a sensor cable be plug in backwards? I think that i plug it in right as the connector went smoothly.

Sounds like what I had when I unplugged the sensor wire after my initial install. It maybe damaged from being removed. A new one fixed it and it hasn't skipped a beat since.

I'll give that shot, if it works, cheap easy fix. Thanks for the help guys.

I realize this thread may be a little biased. But which ESC would work better on my 5.5t XL motor in my slash 4x4, the RX8 or VTX8?

Bob Barry 08-13-2013 04:22 PM

The VTX8 obviously ;)

Does it provide any benefits over the Tekin? Both are right around the same money and trying to decide.

Cappy 08-13-2013 04:44 PM

Well i havnt recieved my system yet but the one thing i do know is that program-ability with the Viper setup is soo much easier at the track with the Proguage. Small and portable. slide it right in yer pocket when your done

nikos2002 08-13-2013 04:48 PM

tremendously biased..... sorry had to say it.

Seriously, we designed what we believe is the best system on the market. Durable, smooth power delivery, designed to be used for a long time, be solid in a difficult environment. Easy to program, able to fine tune it if you desire, good enough to work out of the box, if you don't want to mess with things.

if you had a tekin in one hand and a viper in the other, you would think the tekin come straight out a cracker-jack box.
