Wildcat - the Super cap is not designed as a replacement to the caps already on the system - they are an add on. The caps already on the speed controls are their to help the circuit work properly with BEC, etc. The Super Caps - should help provide more punch.
With the set up question - yes you should see smoother throttle response and less chance of wheel spin moving to the settings you described. If you had wheel spin before, this should let you be just as hard on the throttle but without the wheel spin. |

I have a Pro9 cap that I will be installing into my Tekno EB48. I just started running Ebuggy and I want to get some baseline laptimes to compare to after I install the cap.

ok, I am looking to smooth out my power band on the viper. I went 16k on the throttle pwm and 60% punch for 13.5 buggy. Thoughts?

What could be some reasons why my progauge won't link up with my copperhead r esc? The esc is functioning perfectly and I even recalibrated it manually to my radio and it still says link fail when I try to tune it with the progauge.

1) power on the esc 2) push the button to enter programming mode 3) connect the pro gauge if you connect it before steps 1 or 2, it wont work. |
You just need to verify it is in link mode with the F and R lights lit up before you try to link.

I just rebuilt a Viper VST 10.5 motor with the Viper 12.0mm RPM VST Tuning Rotor and reinstalled it into my SC10 FT. Amazing! Using the same gearing and can and ESC settings I always use with this motor and I get a smoother powerband and better top end speed. I gained on both low end and high end performance. With the smoother powerband I actually get faster, more controllable acceleration. The higher RPM yields enough extra speed to be noticeable quicker. Braking is still good with the same settings and perhaps just a bit smoother as well. Temps are still low, too.
I wasn't unhappy before, but now my SC10 has more pep without the need for a new lower turn mod motor. This is one of the best and simplest upgrades I've ever done. Definitely worth the cost and effort. Thanks Viper! |
