guys can someone link me the viper setup sheets?

I would be using it on my 4x4 SC because of the terrain I am in and stress induced on the motor. Thick sand and grass, with bigger wheels requires a high punch and start power with enough torque to continue carrying the truck.

Right now I am using a modified computer CPU heatsink (the circular one from Zalman) and it made a very noticeable difference, at the cost of a couple of grams. I just don't have enough airflow moving through my body to help dissipate the heat. I want to encase the fan inside the heatsink so I wont have to worry about it getting damaged or wet. I will try out the speed control fan like nikos2002 suggested.

Thanks WildCat and Nikos. I got my set up from Amazon. They had an offer I couldn't refuse. Plus I run the CopperheadR 4500 in my SC10 4X4 and absolutely love it. That truck kills anything in the straights and I can stand it on the nose with the brakes. Still learning how to get out of the corners though..... Maybe too fast in the straights???? I will probably just order the PC link because the brakes are not up to par at all as you said and I don't have time to send it back before the next race. It calibrated first try to my Radio and drives like a dream. If nothing else improves my confidence did. Beautiful piece of work and so easy to mount ANYWHERE. Great work guys. Will be ordering a 10R for the 4wd

so I was checking my esc last night and playing the proguage. When using the servo checker, I noticed it says my bec is putting out 6.79 volts. I was like weird, I set it to 7v. So I dropped it to 6v anf it read 5.79v, then again to 5v and it showed 4.7ish volts. So where has my .21 volts dont, lol. Is everyone else seeing this? I am going to check my other vtx tonight. Also, I picked up a HV servo and esc, so I upped the esc to 7v bec. Should i expect any issues with this setup? less run time, etc? BEC dies faster?

The Servo has to have some power even with no input. that explains the voltage drop.

There is going to be some drop across the system, I have seen similar. As for running 7v as an issue - would depend on the class and motor you are running. If its 4wd SC with a 4 pole motor, maybe not the best idea. Also for 1/10 how twitchy do you really want your vehicle to be?

Ok thanks guys, in the next update it would be really cool if vipers team drivers can post there setups on the viper homepage and then you can load them straight on to the esc, without having to do it manually

Funny you say that..... did you know with the VLink you can make a copy of your settings in a separate file, which can be loaded by someone else with a VLink...... something we are going to start using more of as we continue to grow.

As for right now, if there is a certain type of set up you are looking for PM, I will send you some info

Don't flame, please. I've searched and read but got tired of "searching" for my answer.

What exactly does "slew rate" do and why would I want to adjust it? Use layman's terms please.

Think of it like controlling how a turbo spins up. Higher the rate - harder and faster it spins up (adds the boost), lower the rate - still adds boost little more controllable.

Your slew rate is too high, if you are pulling a wheelie when you get on the throttle (off road), it feels like a light switch (instant on) or your generating too much motor/esc heat.

Generally you would start low, and add little at a time while testing the set up.
