Sorted my heating problem. I went 21 to 22 to 23 and so on up to 25t pinon. It got hotter each time so I just descided to retry 21t but I lost it so I went to 20t and now the motor is 60-65c and esc is 40-45c

My 11 year old son won His 2wd B4.1 buggy main with his 8.5 Viper and got Second with his 7.5 Viper powered SC10 2wd Temps seemed better with the SC10 tonight I think it might have been a pinion and wheel spin prob in practice.

Glad to hear you guys are working through any issues. There are quite a few variables that can effect heat - gearing, set up, track conditions, driving style. So its always a work in progress.

Hey Nick

I'm looking for a baseline setup for my VTX10 for 10.5 or 8.5 motor in my 2wd buggy? The track is outdoors, slippery and dry but when swept it has a nice racing line with decent grip. Looking for smooth power delivery but fair amount of torque to clear some decent size jumps. I ran a 10.5 my first time out but I think an 8.5 is needed. Thanks in advance.

I shared a setup last night on Facebook.

start with profile 2

- Increase punch to 85%
- PWM around 8000mhz. Raise it some if you need to smooth out the delivery more due to low grip
- Disable dynamic brakes
- set drag brake to around 8-10% and adjust to your preference
- reg brake 85% and adjust to your preference
- brake PWM 2500mhz
- EPA on radio should be 100 Forward 85 Reverse (adjust for grip level)

Hello-
Just got a VTX10-BE w/ VST 8.5 motor for a 2wd buggy. Is this a good starting point for me as well? (Wasn't sure if the VTX10-BE would be different)

Thanks- Looking forward to trying this new system

Mike

It would work for a BE as well.

You just described the exact setup that is in my RB6, so yup, it will work just fine. :)

That is pretty much my go to setup for my mod buggy. I also adjust the EPA when im on the drivers stand to tune for track conditions
