Today my VTX10R dies from one day to another. I am using a 9.5T motor in a kyosho sc-r. After about 5 minutes the car stops and the motor sputters (as if the sensor wire was broken). Back at home I connected a fully charged lipo and plugged in a new sensor wire but had the same problem. (I tried another motor, too !). As I am living in germany sending the ESC to Viper will take a long time. Is there anything that I can do ?

You can contact us to see if there is anything we can help with over the phone (not easy) but we can try. Or PM me for some other ideas.

Howdy I have the copperhead 4500kv system. If I wanted to try a speedrun is 3s an absolute no-no or do you think it will hold together for a short run?

I sent mine from Australia and it took 3weeks total and the service was excellent .
Even with the time difference the communication was very good the service manager Eric Kim is amazing to deal with .:nod:

The Copperhead-R is only rated to 4000kv on 3S

As Dave stated above - its something that could cause an issue - it might be really fast - but definitely pushing the limits. Don't be surprised how fast the system is on a 2s - it hauls --

I have a question about batteries. With the Copperhead 4500kv system is it ok to run 25c packs? I see lots of mod guys running lower C ratings without issues, or do the 4 pole motors require a higher C rating? I plan on getting into 4x4 sc and will most likely be running this system.

IMO with the 4-Pole motors in the 4wd SCT you need as much C rating as you get. If it is too low, I have seen people actually melt the bullet connectors right inside the battery or even un-solder the battery connectors.

That makes sense. thx

I sent out the parcel today - letīs see how long it takes ;) In the meantime I will use the tekin rs pro - I just wanted to make some advertisement for viper in our local club and now it quit working .... My 10 years old son won every SCT run with his VTX10R powered SCT SC-R!

What motor do you use in SC with VTX10R?

Oh I know it's plenty fast. Works perfectly on 2s. I'm just wondering about stupidly fast that you'd only try once just for kicks. :D:D:D

IMO 40c is the minimum. Although without a true C rating across the board available from manufs. It's really a guessing game if 40c is really 40c anyway.

I will say the Nano's(65c), venoms(50c), and pro-match(60) I have ran with the Copperhead have been fine. No melting or any odd effects noted.

They are actually pretty good at getting it done. I screwed up my Copperhead esc and it had to be sent back to the factory. Turn around was 2 1/2 weeks. Not bad for having to travel that far
