When will the 1/8 motors be available? Will there be custom winds and bigger rotors available?

The 8th scale motors havent been released yet. They will be soon. From what I have been told, Viper is trying to get things right before they release an 8th scale ESC/Motor that is reliable. No need to release something that is going to burst into flames, right?

The ESC might burst into flames, due to firmware, hard brakes(reverse current/voltage spike), sub par batteries(really bad ripple current), locked motor, wrong fets, etc. Not much that goes wrong with a motor these days. Hence I would release the motors first. But that is just my opinion.

How much will the systems be? If they are in my price range I think I'll get one for my TLR 22. Or mayb just get the motor.

If you are allowed can you answer these few questions regarding the motors in use:
1. Are the rotors free spinning or notchy?
2. Are the rotors kevlar/carbon wrapped?
3. Can they spin at least 60000 rpm?

Thx

I am not sure if I can but I dunno y u need 60000rpm 2000kv x 22.2v only give u 44,400kv n that's road bash, over spin for race. For racers we need 29,000 to 35,000rpm only.

You forget about speed runners and dragracers. Omit those folks and you omit potential buyers. Bashers, weekend warriors bring in the money, Racers make them known.

Lehner, Hacker, Plettenberg, Tekin, Neu motors, Castle motors do run 50-60K rpm. There would be no point in investing in a 150-160 dollar motor that can't spin 50-60K rpm, when a 120 dollar well known motor does. My dragracing GTP runs a 4080kv Hacker motor on 4s which is around 54000rpm under load and system IR for example.

The Highest kv is 2600kv x 22.2=57,720rpm or u can add more cells lol
