Default Adjust trim or sub trim?

What one is for getting the tires straight since you cant line up the servo exactly in line? I know one is used over the other but I forget which one. Thanks for the help

Usually you centre the servo horn with the subtrim and use trim on the fly

Most radios one click of the subtrim moves half the distance of one click of trim

Cheers

unless you run a DX3R, then you can adjust the amount of travel per click of the trim

I have the DX3R, so you would use sub trim then?

Sub trim should always be used first to get it as close as possible and then use the trim to fine tune it. Sub trim has no effect on travel limits, trim does. If the servo horn is way out of wack and you use only the trim to center it you may loose travel. LMK if that makes sence..

Interesting, it never occurred to me before how tricky this can be to say. I’ve always said it a little different even though we’re on the same track. The key difference is how they impact endpoints-travel and when they are set.

1. Use sub trim to center (after installing the horn as close as practical).
2. Then set endpoints-travel.
3. Then use regular trim to make ongoing adjustments.
