In Modified class, drivers often feel that the power of the bottom end is too aggressive, a slight throttle input usually amounts to too much power to the drive train of the car and will make it hard to control through the corners, so HOBBYWING decided to implement the softening function to solve this issue.
2G. Softening Range
is the range to which "The Softening Value” starts and ends. For example, 0% to 30% will be generated when the user pre-programs the "Softening Range" at a value of 30%.
This is excellent. I haven't had a chance to test it yet but I have found with the older software the bottem end can be a bit touchy so this should be a welcome change. Thanks!

My opinion
(For those that setup there cars as momentum cars)
The coast feature should have finer increments in the lower settings, example I drive mod TC and I find 5% way to much, 2% getting there, 1% depends on the corner your going into.

My suggestion so you can still use the same 20 spots in the program box: 0.25/ 0.5/ 0.75/ 1/ 1.5/ 2/ 2.5/ 3/ 4/ 5/ 6/ 7/ 8/ 9/ 10/ 12/ 14/ 16/ 18/ 20.

0.25 might be pushing it but you get the 💡

Is it possible to run "blinky" software on the sct pro esc?

Gidday COBRARAICING,

I just wanted to know what the difference is between V1, V2 and V3_508 blinky software?

I still have V1_508 on my GT2 esc, and it has some cogging when accelerating off the line. I have also read that V3_508 has less brakes that V1 or V2.

Please confirm what differences there are between each of those options

Thanks
Mike

Hope someone can help me.

I've bought a Ezrun 120A v2.1 ESC from a friend. But am having lots of trouble trying to get the latest firmware onto the unit.

I'm running Win10 (but also tried Win8). Downloaded the latest USB link software, it detects the ESC fine. But when I go to the "Firmware upgrade" screen, nothing is listed in the "Available versions" drop box. Same behaviour on both Win10 and Win8. I've tried disabling firewalls and anti virus, also tried compatibility mode for XP, no joy.

Any ideas? I'm struggling to find anything on Google.

You've probably done this but just in case .... Did you right click the hobbywing program and run it as admin?

Yes, you are right (I had already tried running as an administrator).

PS. Both machines I am trying are running x64 operating systems, this shouldn't be a problem though should it?

ok, a follow up to this as I've made some progress.

The hardware ID on the ESC is "HW427_V1.0". I found this in the file "CAR_ESC_version_control.ini", and in the INI file, there is a list of all firmwares. But the firmware that is actually on the ESC is not listed in the INI file. Editing the INI file and adding the firmware version now enables the drop down box.

And now I appear to have successfully flashed "V3_508_No Timing" to the ESC.

If anyone else encounters this problem, feel free to contact me and I'll send over my new INI file.

My experience comes from playing with the XR10 Pro.

In my opinion there's more information being moved on the throttle channel=smoother throttle.
Examples:
480p vs 1080p =better picture, Fm vs 2.4ghz Spektrum = more control.... More resolution
(overclocking a pc processor) = more speed in mhz = more heat
I could be wrong
