Hi guys. I'm usually running modified touring car 4.5t HW v10 with the v3.1 esc. I've got a 13.5t boosted touring car race coming up. Can anyone provide a good ESC setup for the v3.1 esc and HW 13.5t v10 motor with boost? Track as large high traction asphalt. Thanks in advance!

Initial brake at 20% means you don't have 1-19 which in turn results in harder braking.

What car? Every motor/car is different....

This was with a 17.5 TC in this case, but I hoped it would help others who need more brake. Even in my buggy, I would still increase the inital brake to 20% and dial back the max braking force as it make the brakes feel much closer to the high priced ESC's that I ran for many years.

I did a bit of a search but didn't find what I was looking for...

Is there anyone using a 3.1 2s version in a 12th scale on 1s without a booster or RX Pack? I'm just running 17.5 or 13.5...nothing more crazy than that.

hobbywing makes a very nice booster for this purpose.

you could run full modified if you like. just attach a nice beefy cap.

Are you holding the button on the switch down while turning the ESC on? That's how it goes into calibrate mode. Another issue could be that your transmitter is not set to provide "neutral" within the required range. If your throttle trim is not at zero (the same goes for the sub-trim as well), the ESC will not recognize that the radio is at neutral and can't begin calibration. Since you are likely using a 1s battery, do you have a booster or aux battery for the ESC? You can also perform the calibration with a 2s battery then switch back to the 1s for running.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my V3.1 in my YZ2 buggy, at Friday night indoor I loaded up the 3.2 firmware onto the speedy off a PC at the track.

I programmed in some boost and timing running into a V10 8.5 motor, it would work, it was calibrated correctly from what I could tell but typically I'd get a lap in (or in the second main I got to the first corner) and the Boost would drop out.

The car would accelerate and brake perfectly fine, but there was no power, I wasn't clearing jumps I was getting outrun on the straights. Has anybody else had any experiences with this at all?

Check the sensor cable.

Hello everyone I have a Xerun stock v3.1 does any one know how to turn off boost so it runs blinky mode. I only have beta programs available?

Connect it to a program bix and set it to mode 2 zero timing.

not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have a problem I need help with.

I received a 1/12 pan car here that has the hobbywing 120A 2.1 1S esc in it.

I hooked it up to my futaba S-FHSS receiver, the one that comes with the 4PL as well as a the one without the antenna and I noticed that:

- the servo was very very slow, at times would not respond on one receiver (the wired one)
- both receivers the amb transponder would not light up

The battery is at storage voltage level so that shouldn't be a problem and its a 7000mah 1S pack.

Any ideas?

Bec might be going out. Try booster.
Possible the servo is bad too. Try a known good one or try the new servo in a car confirmed working.

Cain 11-13-2015 12:49 PM

yeah the servo works fine with a receiver pack, even did a jury rigged one of 3 1.2V AA rechargeables and it moved like a top.

:(

valk 11-13-2015 01:04 PM

Then its possible the built in bec is f'd. Prob cause someone plugged a 2s into it.
Try it with an external booster. If powers everything up and runs the motor as intended, run it like that. Be sure to pull the middle lead wire to the rx when doing this.
Really wouldn't be worth trying to rma for the cost of repair.
Oh. To confirm take your multimeter to the servo lead and see what it reads. If you move the wire around and get a different reading, pop the esu open and check connection. Make sure the crimp is good.
Otherwise. Prob bad bec.
