LMK what they say, I can take my trusty XP Laptop to RSD and attempt to un-brick it Thursday after work.

I was lucky to upgrade without a problem and can say my 17.5 runs about 12-18 degrees F cooler (8-10* C), has better throttle feel, better brakes and got major rip.

That's a different issue to what I've been able to replicate then. Sounds like it needs to go back to be sorted

The 3 in 1 lcd programmer has one software package for the v3 and v2 series esc's they cannot be reversed to run older firmware like the 2 in 1 can go from v2 to v3 visa versa.Second of all whatever the drop menus has for updates thats what it is and its only one firmware.

So far ive exhausted all series 3 escs with uploading and changing multiple firmware on all and i have had no errors running xp on my asus netbook and windows 7 on my desktop.

Im trying to duplicate the errors and its not happening.

Now many are talking about the escs being bricked no chancd the omly other reason this could happen is the factory settings being lost from the rom thats all and in some cases a short stint of reverse polarity of the battery terminals as ive done it before and yes the esc turns on but the lcd sats connecting esc and does no more.

Im still trying to duplicate the error leave it with me.

No one is denying their is an issue. What's being said is that it is proving very difficult to replicate.

I downloaded and installed the 3.43 sw on my windows 7 laptop and when I opened it it looks like this.

Are those of you who have issues seeing the same garbled text in the boxes? I have several HW escs that all work perfectly so I am naturally hesitant to update if there's a possibility it will cause problems. At the same time I want to update asap so i can test at the last asphalt race around here before worlds.

The garbled text is a different language. You just need to change it to English from the top drop down menu

I updated both my original V3 and V3.1 2014 and worked perfect no problems here.

Yep, thank you. Angelo sent me an e-mail and confirmed. I have always had it default to English and with the reports on here I didn't want to take any chances. I just updated two 1s v3.1 escs and it went flawlessly. Will be updating my 2 3.1 2s escs now. If it matters this was done on a W7 laptop. I deleted 3.42 through control panel and extracted the zip to the download folder and then installed directly from there right clicking and choosing run as administrator. Thanks for the awesome help AE.

Are the ESCs that are being shipped out as replacements for the bricked ESCs immune to the bricking issue or is there still a chance it can happen? Since this comes from FalconSekido stock, the answer should also apply to ESCs that are purchased from FalconSekido from this point forward.
