So at this moment the weak brakes are caused by the software??
As what i have read with the old software all is ok but when upgrading to the new software the brakes as crap so to say.
Why not use the brake software from the old versions and the rest from the new software?
Win win situation?
regards Roy

Maybe it is asked already but what happens when you put turbo and boost on zero in 930 software? no brakes as well?

I cannot run 508 v3 on my new Justock. I keep getting a upgrade software popup.
I am running 1.08 on my LCD box. 1.11 is not supposed to work on ESC's other than the V3.

Lets all get together and wish Hobbywings Head Designer and One of the company directors Michael Lui a Happy 29TH birthday .

Ok, in regards to the braking issue with the blinky software, it has been explained in detail here before, but I'll go over it once again in case it was overlooked.
The best way to explain the problem is to have the car sitting on a car stand on your table.
* Firstly set the esc into blinky mode 508 no timing.
* Re calibrate the esc to your transmitter settings.
* Set drag brake to Zero
* Hold full throttle and then go to full brakes and note how long it takes for the motor to stop.
* Now, this next step is to first do the same by going to full throttle but instead of going to full brakes, pause *very briefly* in neutral and then apply full brakes.
There will be a very noticeable difference in how fast the motor will stop when you release the throttle and pause briefly in neutral before applying full brakes, as opposed to going from full throttle to full brakes.
This effect/issue will be even more noticeable with lower wind motors, but can also be noticed with higher winds including 21.5 motors.
I agree with Shawn68z, HW makes great esc's and are great value. Even with the blinky brakes issue I'll be sticking with HW, as there's no other brands that give the smooth feeling of a HW and are reliable.
Cheers
Rob.

Hello
Today i have tested the software 526 in the V3 in indoor carpet track.
I don't have any issue with the brakes , if i set to much brakes in the esc they lock the wells of the car.
Good work Angelo, keep the good work and costumers support.
Best regards:

If I was running a 13.5 or 10.5 with a bunch of boost/turbo then yes I would say use the fan. But I think your safe without it.

Angelo I'm not talking about the V3 esc..... the blinky firmware in the V2.1 and older esc's i.e. V2_508 vs. V3_508 the brakes are noticeably less. And I have done all the tricks, 100% reverse force helped slightly. Radio is set correctly. The brakes even sound different when applied then they did with the V2 firmware. Also I have tried to get back to the V2 firmware but the software wont let me.
Have tried numerous things including but not limited to:
Set reverse force to 100% (even though the esc is set to fwd/brk only), which like above helped slightly.
Set my throttle to reverse an my transmitter & re calibrated the esc.
Set braking force to 100%
Tried varying amounts of drag brake.
Set intial brake to 20% (another suggestion from a forum member in this thread).
Apart from the first mentioned suggestion, nothing else done anything to improve the soft braking issue.
Maybe I should make a video to show the issue more clearly?
Cheers
Rob.
