Hi
Just been told that the v3 will be more a mod speedo than stock. Is this correct as we don't even have a mod class in the uk nationals anymore.
Placed my advanced order with racers in exile but am now considering cancelling and getting an extreme stock again.
Thanks Jay

hi guys

Just making you aware that we have an option on the usb link that allows you to ccw-cw the motor rotation which is not activated yet we will be removing this non activated function as it confuses the customer but also we have found that while testing the function we have noticed it affects the the timing of the esc .We will make sure that when we implement new software that it wll be 100% accurate as i have had emails of motors running backwards .

let me just explain so you can understand a touch more when someone has this issue of the motor running backwards by using the software and then activates the ccw-cw to fix the issue because the esc is sensored and so is the motor the sensor sensors that the motor even running in the correct direction in theory the esc through the sensor stil thinks that the motor is still running in the other direction thus affecting the timing so thats why we will no longer have it as an option even though it wasnt activated in the first place .The new software will be stealth and bullet proof with no bugs thus no need for the fucntion to be activated .

I just want to make things easier for you guys so you dont have to worry about way to many fucntions that look great on the platform but are not needed .

thanks for your understanding .

not true as the v3 stock or mod will be determined by software not esc but you will have the 120 amps on tap to run mod down to a 3.5T if needed but also can run blinky zero timing mode without having to laod the software to esc through your pc .

Thanks Angelo.
I was hoping for an earlier release date as I have my new t3'12 waiting for a speedo. I may have to use my old extreme for now :-(
Will the v3 be available in black as I hate putting blue on my orange car :-)

And that is the clincher...

One ESC to rule them all.... (oh dear, it's a slow news day...)

Reason for delay of V3 as you know i am up front and honest with you guys no secrets at team hobbywing is michael has found a way to improve the settings and power on switch on the v3 wont be long now before it hits the market .

regards Angelo:)

Hey all,

I have a 120A 1S in my 1/12th running 10.5 sp with some timing not too much. in an 8 min race I use up about 80% of the pack's mah.

But near the end of the race I start to get issues with my transponder not counting.

I burnt up the stock Cap and i replaced it with a one I had lying around (35V 1000uF thinking that that should work.

Is the Cap Wrong? I can only Get Tekin Caps local or I can get from an electronics store random ones in all sizes What should I look for?

Did you chaneg the cap before you had the issues ?

35v is way to high max 16v should be used .

Good news for the guys who hate to carry the laptop to the track to change software from mod to stock to zero and more .

Michael is in the process of implementing more modes for the 2 in 1 programmer but with the new fuction that is available on the usb link but not the 2 in 1 which is import export so you will be able to download all your software to the 2 in 1 programmer and not having to have your pc a the track to upload mod.stock or zero etc to the esc .

Can you explain what problems we might have if we run non standard Cap's? Reason i ask is I had a 2 cap board get damaged and not having a spare on hand i tried a rather large Novak glitch buster cap that is rated at 10v, 5600uf. Could this have caused any issues as this speedy ended up frying its circuit board. Is this an under rated cap for the job?
