Guys ive been slogging through this thread but havent found what im after yet so i'll put it you all.
I've bourght a second hand xerun extreme stock, dont know what software and a GM 10.5. i was going to gear it at about 7.5 to 8 on an xray T008 to be safe but not sure where to start on the settings. The settings it comes with is with full 18 degrees of timing.
Any suggestions?

What I can say for sure is that the flux's use the same software... Deduce from that what you will ;)
When I popped back to the uk, spoke to with Andy, Ayrton, Jonny B and Elliot over settings at WLRC national. All of those are using either a Orion R10, or the pre-production Flux.

Firstly, don't rule out trying a smaller pinion with your current settings, it's all a balancing act between fdr and the speedo settings.

In the software itself, for more acceleration, try a faster boost ACC figure, higher DDRS, lower boost start RPM. Try a few different things, keep your eye on the temps, and check the times and what feels best to you.

I'd start around 8 on the fdr, and then use the following;
DDRS: 9
boost timing: 40
start rpm: 6000
ACC: 400
Turbo timing: 15
Turbo ramp: 18
Turbo delay: 0.2s
The other settings adjust to suit. That will be pretty conservative, but a good base to start from. Should mention that would be for the 211 software, try and get someone to load that for you if you don't have a program box.

All of HPI's new esc's are designed and made by hobbywing even the new waterproof unit they offer in the ready to runs .

Thanks a lot. Mine doesnt have half of those settings so must be something like the 518 software? But i can take bits from it and use those.
