Hi, quick question
When i downloaded 211 onto my speedie yesterday, I then tried to download it onto my program box, but it only listed 518, 224 and 119, no 211 so I ended up downloading 119 again. no big deal, just wondering if anyone else had run into this. I tried the "update" thing on the hobbywing program, but says it is not needed as it already the latest version. should I try downloading the 211 onto the program box before the ESC to see if the 211 option comes up? |

They are a delta configuration
star config = more rpm (more kv ) Delta config = more torque (less kv) (but now with turbo these configurations mean nothing.) You can also have both delta star config but i dont think that is allowed . You see most motors have a higher kv rating than others and thats becuase of there winding config not turns . Every other post you make you are off and this is one of those! :( It is the other way around just like when you was to clear out the timing steps Vs. degrees once and for all... Hobbywing motors are starwound like every other ROAR approved motor (We have had this winding debate up earlier you and i Angelo) :sneaky: Sorry if i am beeing negative here but i think it is important that you as an Hobbywing official is always clear and correct. Maybe you should pass the technical bits to someone like Shizeng who is always understandable and seems to have his facts together. |

You need to run the program as an administrator to get it to update the list properly (right-click on the program icon and select "run as administrator").

i was also about to say something about that angelo,
but i am holding my say, here, since a lot of people like's to argue rather than find the fact. The Delta wind = More RPM. The Star Wind = More Torque. . |

I have had a look at tekins motors on there website just as a reference and there 10.5T is rated at 4500kv and the hobbywing 10.5T is 3300kv so if all roar approved motors are star winds which means more torque not rpm then how do the tekins achieve the kv rating 1200kv more in a roar approved star config than hobbywing motors can achieve when the delta wind = more rpm resulting in more kv .right? let me know what you know and we can start a debate so all can learn. |
