Default AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now I am really confused.

I was using 518 with max timing on a corally red 13.5 - was great for club racing - unfortunately it had insufficient oomph for a big track.

A friend uploaded 224 - boy was that fast - bit hard to get used to after 518 and no turbo.

Now I understood that the post 518 firmwares were all smoother off power on turbo.

With that in mind - which of the new profiles is smoothest with the corally red 13.5 stock motor?

Also can someone help me with set-up -

I tried a 5.5t today on software 205 (random choice), geared 7.6 - 8.4, at 8.4 it topped out at 7.6 it was better and the acceleration was good, but it just didnt have the top end compared to a 13.5 with boost.... ideas?
does no one run these winds anymore?

Ran at wlrc yesterday, using an sp 4.5 v3

Firmware - 119 mod
Gearing - 8.07
Boost - 10
Turbo - 8
Delay - 0.2
Turbo ramp - 12deg/0.1s

May in future just use stock software but with those mild settings as then I can have a play with rpms, but need confirmation the degs in the stock firmware are the same as in mod but with limits to make them idiot proof??

you're saying 12° Max

I Suggest Boost+Turbo 6° Max

i think the V3.0_110213 will work on Mod better then..

Never used boost with a 4.5t... only turbo.
5.5t on the track I run is good for full turbo (20), whilst the 4.5t I've had up to 14.. then caught a kurb and found a fence post!

I've run;
Motor: 4.5t
Software: 119MOD
FDR: 8.8
Turbo: 14
Delay: 0.3s
Ramp: 12/s
DDRS: 5

Thats it... honestly didn't feel it needed any boost at all, maybe that's just the motor.

HiH

the only thing i can think is that my 13.5t SP V3 for some reason works better on 119.

cant say about lap time as the lap counting was off, the temp on the 119 was about 85c and i could see the difference in temp if i was higher or lower on the 15*, but on 211 was allways 72c and no changes if i was going higher or low on 15*.
Guinnes,
You are a good driver. Because I think it is not easy to feel the small difference between versions.

I'd like to share with you the difference from 0119 and 0211 .

119 's turbo function will be released immediately after the full throttle setting is met. Even the boost timing not fully used up, the turbo timing will add. That's very useful if the track has some middle straight or high speed line. So it will be very aggresive if you set turbo delay with 0 or 0.1sec. In this situation it is very important to control your throttle correctly when in some area on the track not need Turbo open.

but 211 has some limit on Turbo releasing, which will make the accellaration smooth and efficient. I know 211 will use up boost timing first(by RPM increasing) and then release Turbo timing after the full throttle and delay time.

That's why you will feel 119 can bring more heat to motor and is sensitive when Option 15 changing.

3.7v 5500mah 60C 1s lipo
7.4v 5500mah 60 2s saddle packs

thank you for your time

Thanks for the update and i believe it to be true this time but ill ask once again a simple question
Which Motor( styled and what identifiction marks) are being ROAR APROVED
We have some motors here but with the lack of detail on them exactly which ones being are being aproved and as i had to buy a speed passion in the mean time to keep racing
The hobby wing motors work well with their software and your work is appreciated but this lack of detail is very frustrating
Im sticking with hobby wing the stuff is incredibley reliable A affordable prices

All the best

My Xerun 60a gave up the ghost today.

It has been running really well using the Stock 211 FW and today when I turned it on I had steering but no throttle or brakes (channel 2 was gone)

So I tried to calibrate the controller again. No go. The ESC would not enter into calibration mode.

I was hoping it was a receiver problem but unfortunately it's not as I put the receiver into another vehicle and it worked fine and I also tried two different radios / receivers with the XERUN just to be certain.

sizheng.... by theory, can we get 119 as low temp as 211 if we put the delay more and ramp lower than 18...?

I found that taking it back to an early version of the Hobbywing 2 in 1 box fw first then updating with the new SP stuff was the only way I could do it. If I tried to just go from the out of the box fw the SP software wouldn't update.
This is the LCD box we are talking about not speedo.

Wow, some accurate technical information from someone who knows how the product actually works. And written in clear English. Thank you! We need more posts from you

In the future, would it be possible for each new firmware to come with release notes like this so we know what changes we're getting?
