Yes mate, Temp protection was on. one of those things, I was getting the esc/motor better and better, power was great, and coming on just where i needed it, but I pushed it too hard. I assumed the motor would die first, I have many motors, so I wasn't fussed, I didn't think the ESC would give up first. oh well!

I ran 25 deg of boost and 20deg turbo with 10deg on the motor on a 5.5r and blew the esc, motor would of taken it all day long. thats a 120amp 2.1 with 224fw. was very fast, pitty it fried the speedo
It's what the mod software is for... no boost, only turbo, as you don't need the extra rip on the infield (want more punch? drop a wind... simples).

Only turbo for the straights. A couple of steps makes a big difference, only use 14deg with the 4.5, doesn't need any more... yet

Either the ETREME Stock or the 120A will suit a 10.5T for on-road. the fan is better on the 120A but either will suit. The performance will be equal if the same settings are used. Heat generation will be depending on your settings and not the choice of ESC used.

Cheers

Is it not possible to use 211 and just drop the boost thingy and only use the turbo? It seems 211 is so adjustable that you can turn off boost if you want to drive mod? Or does the mod software have something else included that isn't in the 211 stock software? Just curious.

Absolutely... I was using mod as it has less options to scroll through on the LCD box... never going to need 40deg of turbo!

sorry to hear about your misfortune but you should not be using stock turbo software with mod motors .

For High efficiency and top performance id leave the fan on .remember the cooler you can keep the esc the better it will perform.
