Will this be a continual process? Or is this FW going to be around for a while?

What changes will there be apart from the logger?

Running My Extremstock today with a 21.5 HW motor , It didn't seem to mater what i did i could not get good speed out of it

I tried differnet ratios 3.9 4.5 5.6 6.4 the only one that realy made a difference was it was even slower when i went to 6.4 ..........

I tried loads of differnt settings on the Extream Stock as well Boost No Boost split boost and timing of all sorts of variables rpm changes etc etc

I knew when i got it wrong as the motor came off Hot apart from that it seemed prity constant on any ratio and esc setting of 15 sec laps i got 1 lap under 15 sec a 14.9 ...........

The 13.5 drivers were lapping at about 13.6 to 14.1

Am I expecting to much ?????? Am I going as fast as a 21.5 will go ?????

I know these questions are hard to answer But without recomended gear ratios for a Hw21.5 motor its hard to know where to start

My spare car with a Tekin RS Pro in was running at the same pace as the HW when i tried it after the meeting

Any Help would be Great

Many Thanks Trevor

I had that issue once. I finally twigged that the sensor wire was not plugged into the speedo....

I actually think we are expecting too much from the 21.5's as te 13.5's seem to top out at around 45000 RPM with the resultant loss of torque, it is quite a huge drop down to 21.5T, so maybe if the 21.5 drivers want to go faster still then maybe look at 17.5 or 13.5? Dunno it's just an observation as the 21.5 WAS designed to be considerably slower than a 13.5T???

Maybe try something else..... reset to zero on all settings, set gearing to say 5.8 or 6.0 and run it, then add each of the settings bit by bit until you hit a sweet spot.

Test it test it and test it again, can be done away from the track in your spare time it's what we do over here, to learn what each of the settings does, you can then fine tune it on the track to your own driving style.

Hope it helps...

I am not sure if this has been asked before. Now first off, i know you should not rev the motor on the stand but i did it anyway to see how the motor spooled up. Now something odd happend. When i pull the throttle very gently the motor spooles up gently. Then at a certain point the motor seems to stall a little and when i gently pull the throttle a little more the motor goes from a little lower revs to higher revs like normal. Is that stall the transition from motor timing to esc dynamic timing? The throttle is hardly used so i think it could be the dynamic timing comming in but the weird thing is that at the same point the motor gives just a little less rpm (by sound) and afterwards spooles up again the way it supose to. Now, i haven't tried it at the track yet so i have no idea if that stall is noticed under load but thought it was a little odd. Just to let people know, I am not a newbe with dynamic esc, i have a t...n for a long time .

This is with a xerun 10.5t (new one) and 120A v2.1 with the newest software.

Any thoughts what else it could be?

edit:
my settings are:
1:1
2:1
3:5
4:9
5:3
6:1
7:2
8:1
9:46(45 boost)
10:4 (18 turbo slope)
11:1
12:16 (turbo timing 15)
13:6 (start rpm 6000)
14:4 (0.3 sec)
15:10 (500acc)

lol yeah but it was odd that it stalled a little. I just tried a start rpm of 15.000 and then it seems the motor does not stall at the same spot. I could not notice a stall in the small throttle range that the stall came in with the 6000 start RPM. I gues the start rpm DOES work! . When putting the start rpm back to 6000 i did notice the stall again.

Just weird that the motor stalls just a little when dynamic timing comes in but ah well...lets see what it does on the track
