TRX B E - you will need winrar to open the download which is a free software program.

Okay due to work my day of testing is not going to happen tomorrow now and i have i race on sunday, with the 101224 software with 13.5 brushless in touring cars going, are the settings close to the suggested settings or slightly different. profile numbers would be brill if posted.

thanks in advance

Did you noticed any difference on the turbo? With the old software it always was very smooth and i never noticed when it kicked in, with the Tekin it was 100% different, thats just like a second stage.
Hope it is still very smooth....Noticed any gain in topspeed or acceleration in the higher rpm`s?
Didn't really play a lot with turbo, but for what I've noticed, it felt the same.
I really think only boost timing is enough for our track, (for most tracks I even believe, for 1/12 scale)
The turbo timing is nice, but is a big energy consumer (or heating system ), which in the end of a 8 minutes final kills your performance.
Check once more my times on mylaps, and take into consideration, that the first 3 sessions were driven with the same Lipo...
http://www.mylaps.com/practice/showL...date=12-1-2011

If you check the topspeed, you can see that even after 6 minutes I am still able to drive 59!....
If you check the 9th of January (the clubrace, only the first qualifier is there, then the computer crashed. ), you can see that the speed drops a lot more, this was with the 518 firmware....
This drop in topspeed gives you a good picture about the performance of the whole system (battery, ESC, motor) during the run, the drop in topspeed on the straight end, tells you that you will also loose performance in the infield...

I don't think the latest firmware will be on the disk.
Just download it from here http://www.cobrarc.com.au/ (thanks Cobra!)
And download the free "7-zip" program to unpack it.

The 528 is mod software so has minimal turbo etc. It won't produce much heat, but it will be fairly slow.

Run the 518 stock software with the recommended settings from the hobbywing PDF; those settings are on the conservative side.

You can try fw224, its running cooler with that firmware compare to the previous one.

Guys, tell me please, what software use for a stock 17.5T ? Boost it is not necessary, because it is forbidden at competitions.
( lrp x12 17.5T and xerun 2.0 )

If you want without boost/turbo use fw508.

Default Recommended Setups

here's the link Cobra posted:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4g9...are_110106.doc

download the word document and scroll right to the bottom for recommended settings

I tried the 11.5t recommended settings and it worked well. Compared to the previous recommended settings for fw518, motor temps for fw224 were 10deg celcius cooler with the same fdr (6.5) that i was running.

Hi Guys,

Just updated my unit to the new V1.63_110108 firmware (SP V3 13.5) and I cant set the turbo timing (#12) to anything higher than 12 degrees.
Is that normal?
Additional info doc mentions 16deg timing as recommended setting.
What have I done wrong?
Cheers
Andrew
