Well the second of two 7940 servo's I bought has went south on me over the weekend. Appears to be a motor like the first one. The first one was on the motor, this one was on the steering. I guess I will have to send them both in to have fixed. Not really to happy with them at all. Doe's anyone know if they have fixed the problem?

I have a 7940 that was having issues centering last weekend after a 30 mn main, I have been running it since they were released without issues, I am thinking about replacing it with a 7950. Yes rubber garments installed.

Yes I had the Grommets installed on mine. FYI I had 5955 servo's installed in a Jammin buggy without the Grommets for over 6 months, these same servos are in my car now replacing the 7940 servos. Don't think I am bashing Hitec they are the only servos I run in my 35% airplanes 5955 and 7955 servos I love the servos, just having issues with the 7940 servos.
Thanks

Well I was already to buy a new 7950 for my 2.0b but I got a smoking deal on a 7954. I dont know if I want to make the switch to lipo just yet as I would have to get all the charging gear and such. Only thing I see different is the gear set is steel. I can go lipo later on if I want. I got this for steering. For a club racer like me I think this will be more than enough.

Just go with the 7955tg`s! Lipo safe and proven to be reliable,They even come with a aluminum servo horn nowadays! Don`t know if they did in the past, but when I bought my 2 backups 2 weeks ago sure enough they were in there!!
Hitecs CS is so good, I burnt up a 5995TG,that has been discontinued for sometime now, sent it in with receipt and got it fixed no questioned asked. And I know that servo is well over the 25 gallon mark!

i wouldn't put too much trust in the stock alum horn...they are paper thin and tend to snap or bend on a hard impact.

huh, guys, I have big problem with choose servos after read all pages of that topic
ok, I want to put in my 8ight 2.0 the best Hitec's servos configuration
I had brand new 7955 but I sold it
i'm thinking about that:
- steering: 7950TH
- brake/throttle: 7940TH
or
- steering: 7950TH
- brake/throttle: 7955TG
or
- steering: 7950TH
- brake/throttle: 7954SH
what do you think about that
I want to buy very durable with good performance. I will run with LiFe 2S pack in receiver.
I won't have to much money through the season (7 races, 14 days), that I want durable servos.
thx for answers
