However, I did try the zero exp's thing and no, it did not work. But what I did do is reset the model I was using, reset my exp's to 100% and then I HAD AN EPIPHANY- my ATL (adjustable throttle limiter) was always set to zero :flaming: . This feature adjusts the amount of movement available to the braking side only of the trigger  DUH! I've been scratching my head over a month on this. Stupid me. Now I've fallen back in love with my Keyence and livin' in 3PK-speedo bliss.
Thanks guys for all the help ... now I couldn't find my manual but after you set nutr, drHP, brHP and it returns to SET MODE, do you push the center button or the L/R arrows @ the same time to set the frequency settings? I can't remember how I did it, but my settings are there  . -JB

Will Adrian get some sort of an apology since the whole problem was user error?

I missed something, is there anyplace where I stated Adrian was to blame? I thought when I posted STUPID ME, that I was admitting user error. Oh, that wasn't enough for YOU. Alright here goes Adrian- I apologize for any statement that I have made suggesting that you/Keyence was to blame for my obviously overlooked mistake.
Are we settled STLNLST... OK, COOL ;) :tire: -JB

Anybody else had part of the copper foil....

come off the inside of their Esc?

I saw what I thought was a spec (read size of a pin head) of solder rattling around the inside of the case (wondering how it got there), but after I managed to remove it (if fell out of one of the gaps in the side of the case) it turns out it was a bit of the copper foil of the circuit board?

Has anyone had to install one of these caps to help their speedo out with the Spektrum? -JB

theisgroup 06-02-2005 07:57 PM

no. no cap needed. i run the spektrum with a ko 949 digital in 4 cell with no problem.

JayBee 06-02-2005 08:00 PM

I figured that but without the cap my car would have glitching in the steering and throttle response. I put the cap in and VOILA!!- no problems  :weird: -JB

my reciever and transmitter module had to have the updates. so maybe that has something to do with it. I spoke with john adams and he told me that the keyence is definately at the top of the list when it comes to the bec voltages

JayBee 06-02-2005 08:24 PM

Yeah maybe I should just send it in... I HATE taking electronics in & out though   - JB
