My sister in law's mom is coming in from Japan on Saturday and we are having a meet and greet. It should be interesting since I know very little japanese and she doesn't speak english. Tim TTYL Man, Kevin P.S. That's gonna be damn interesting with your sister in law's mom. I wish I could be there! Haha :D |

I bought my Zero Extreme used and need to put longer wires on it for my Cuda R3. Is it ok to do this or will I risk harming the esc?

Greetings,
I'm in the market for a new Speedo. I have a few questions about the Rapida Pro: 1. Is the Rapida the Flagship for Keyence? 2. How do the specs compare to LRP Q2 and the ko-propo high-end speedos? 3. What colors is the Rapida available in? Cheerz |
1. Is the Rapida the Flagship for Keyence?
The Rapida Pro is the top of the line 2. How do the specs compare to LRP Q2 and the ko-propo high-end speedos? They have half the on resistance of the speedos you mentioned. Long Answer: The Rapidas have more individual adjustments. The LRP and KO have diffrent settings for punch and drive frq but you don't have the fine hands on adjustability of the Keyence. You can change drive frq in 100Hz increments from 100-20,000Hz. You can change minimum drive, minimun break, neutral brake and dead band are adjustable in 1% increments. You have 4 memory slots to save setups in. For example this lets you set up 4 diffrent drive frqs which you can switch track side in seconds for back to back lap time testing. Short Answer: It does a lot more than the LRP's and KO's. 3. What colors is the Rapida available in? We can get them in a smoked black case or a blue see through case. However, we only stock the blue ones. |
I switched from a Quantum to a Zero V Ex last year, and the Keyence was a better Speedo - simple as that.
Now have a new Rapida Pro sitting on the desk waiting to be fitted for this weekend. |
Unfortunatly I managed to blow mine up!!! running the com too small, won't make that mistake again.
This would have to bee the best speedo I have ever used hands down. The best feature is being able to adjust brake frequency. The higher it is, the sooner the brakes fade as you slow down, making it easier to brake just right everytime. |
In case no one have not mentioned it yet,
if you are looking for spedos in the market, once you tried keyence products, you will not wanted anything elses. Keyence disadvantage is only being big in size compares to other escs today, bit most of todays TC car is already underweight and other electronics on the car are getting smaller and smaller. I'm talking about the high end Esc, so rapida pro versus other high end type from other brands. One thing you will defenetely love, aside from all the functions, with the same gearing, using keyence will make both of your comm and brush last 3 TIMES longer compared to other brand. You would love seing others truing comm on every 2 or even 1 runs while you sitting and smilling wacthing them. |
I'm old school...big speed controls are Tekin G-12cIII's & LRP V6's. The Keyence is tiny in comparison and fits in any current car with plenty of room to spare.

I haven't really messed around with my speedo since I put it in, I just set it to program #5 for stock racing. Have you found any other particular set-up on this speedo that maximize the potential of a stock motor. And this is already accounting for proper gearing, correct mesh, and optimum motor tuning. - jaybee |
